I have successfully grabbed your attention. No, I'm not actually leaving AiB. I just desperately wanted attention, and pretending that I was going to leave AiB seemed like the easiest way to get it.

http://www.mlgpro.com/content/news/304515/League-Speak-with-Sundance-Super-Smash-Bros-Brawl-Stream That's a huge burn! @_@
"I also wanted to quickly talk about Video on Demand. We will be
capturing video from matches over the course of the tournament.
However, this falls into the same category as the live stream. Whether
we will be able to release this footage is at the sole discretion of
Nintendo. Obviously we’d love to release it and will be working hard to
ensure we can." ~Sundance of MLG.

...is not about to be realized anytime soon!
I'm roughly 30% complete with my personal goals right now, so it would be premature to begin attending and practicing for tournaments again without getting those out of the way. Apologies!
It was fun seeing everyone again, of course! The competition was fun, too. I did really well in doubles with JonT, which was a bit of a surprise; our chemistry was better than usual on the day of. We placed 3rd, losing to Alex/Eric and then Mike/Carlos.
In singles I placed 9th, losing to Tearbear and long time rival and friend, MogX. No shame in that, good games!
Low tiers was pretty funny. I ended up having to play Hall (San Diego Snake main), who I had to play previously in normal Singles. He got his revenge; my Falcon/Bowser didn't stand a chance @_@. For anyone who saw my losers bracket match against Camaman on Brinstar, I don't think words can speak for how funny that ending was. XD! GGs Camaman.
I would make a shout out to everyone, but that would take a long time @_@;;. Perhaps I will do a full shout out list later. For now: it was great seeing everyone again! This experience has provided me a bit more incentive to hurry up my list of things to do.
Hope to see you all again soon!

It sounds pretty fun, so I thought I'd give it a go.

...yet so harmful to the hand that holds it.
The rose teaches us that, despite how beautiful something may be, that doesn't mean it isn't harmful. It is from the rose that the proverb "looks can be deceiving" can be cleverly drawn.
That isn't to say that these would-be deceivers can't be handled, just as the rose can be handled...but that you must simply know how.
It is interesting what lessons we can learn simply by studying nature.
Study it. Know it. Then, and only then, may you hold it, and embrace it for what it is...out of harm's way.
