Rina and I are coming down around the 2nd week of feb, and we really wanna hit up a tourney. I havent kept in touch up with the scene down there and am Just wondering what tourneys there are in the month so we can plan what days to be down there accordingly.

I love the smash community, and I really wanna hang out with you all one last time before I leave. So i'm gonna host a Smashfest Friday next week (9/17) here at my house in cerritos. Who is down? So far I have Larry and Futile coming down, so if anyone here wants to have fun, play smash and chill one last time then please come!

IF enough people come i'll make a tourney, lol. Maybe afterward we can go eat somewhere also, its up to you guys.

It's a decision that was very hard to come to, but I realize that it must be done, for my own good and for the good of my family also.

I've held off making this blog because of where i'm gonna be headed, But I decided t hat i have to say it sooner or later and here goes: I'll be leaving SoCal in 2 weeks to move to Anchorage, Alaska.

NOW, before anyone can say "Oh the Irony" let me please explain myself: The location is based purely on coincidence. It has NOTHING to do with you know who (for the people who know, for the others. . .  .don't worry about it.) I have very little family out of California, all I have a one uncle that lives there (And holds a good position in the company he works for.) After a talk with my parents about me leaving they suggested talking to my uncle about a job opportunity there. And after much talking and soul searching I decided that if he could get me a job opportunity there I would take it. He called earlier this week to confirm a open position I would get If I moved there, so now thats what I am gonna do. I've already filled out the paperwork and online interview I needed for this position, so a have a job waiting for me as soon as I get there.

My financial/family/academic situation has grown worse and worse as time goes on, what I decided a long time ago that I needed to get far away from everything and some time away would do me good. My mom has a really huge financial burden on her with my siblings and me as an adult should not be her responsibility anymore. My dad is willing to help but due to a lot of complicated circumstances I cannot stay with him. So i'm going far away where I can make my own life through my own means. School is going well but with so little money now it's not looking as good as I want it to. I fall short for financial aid also.

Now I'm not trying to tell a sob story here. A lot of why me going away so far is becasue of my envoirnment here and my immaturity and irresponsibilty as a person. I am consistently around distractions here, I have to learn to better myself. If i'm gone, away form what I know I will start to develop myself in a more responsible, real way. As much as I say i'd try for myself down here to do what I can for myself I always end up messing up and going back into the same bad patterns. If i'm gone this way i'll have no choice but to start being a responsible adult.

For the first few months i'll be supporting myself through my job and money I have saved up, also my parents will also be helping a lot too. But after that i'll be totally on my own living off what I work and earn everyday. I have a place picked out and ready for me to move into, though i'm not sure if there is internet there and if there isnt i'll have to deal with that in my own way.

I have only one friend up there so anything social I'll have to develop myself. I have to make new friends, start a new life and everything. I'll probably be playing a lot of games I havent gotten a chance to play. lol.

I had a lot of plans down here, I was going to do a SoCal Smash revival tourney at my dad's place (I had just gotten his blessing ot use the smashtoberfest 1 venue) I was going to host monthly. I was gonna get back into brawl again, try to improve my game, but now that has come up it has to wait for a little while. I'll still brawl as much as I can (Street Fighter up there also) who knows I might do a little better up there in tourneys (If they have them)

Anyways, i'll miss you guys. I love SoCal there is no other place in the world like it. I'm gonna miss all the good times we had, all the support you guys gave me, all the cool and different people I have met. It's really hard for me to type this honestly. I dont want to leave, but I know in my heart this is the right thing to do for myself and my family. I'll try to keep in touch with you guys up there as best I can, also when I come down for vacation I'll see about hosting something or going to a tourney (If there is one).


Thanks SoCal and all the friends i've made through smash. I'll be gone for a while, but i'll be back someday.

PS: I'll host a smashfest some time this week! I wanna smash with you all one last time

This is for Super Street Fighter 4 XBox360 users!!!

I've been thinking about doing this for awhile. As I get a lot of requests from people to help the learn the game better or help them improve in general in SF4. So I'm more then glad to take time to help people out. This is a good way to get people into smash or other fighters into SF, to experience a different game and raise the general level of competition here. I respect people willing to take the time to learn.

I by all means am no Street Fighter God, lol. I consider myself a average player but a above average teacher. I am proficient with almost every character in the roster to a competitive degree, and skill wise I think I am up to date (I have not placed any worse then top 10 in any SF tourney since 2008). Still Im not the go-to guy to win tourneys and money off this game, that is still another level. haha. But I have trained a good amount of people to the point where they are as good or better then me (Futile for example). I love seeing people improve.

Anyways This is what I have in mind:

-Casual "'Endless Battle" Sessions ranging from 1-2 hours twice a week
This is the basic activity I can provide. This ranges from 3-5 people in one party playing each other. I will be there of course giving pointers and advice during matches. I can go almost any other character to teach match ups and all that good stuff. We can learn to play each other in a more closed and exclusive environment. When you are having trouble with anything you can ask me (Via headset) and we can walk through what the problem and possible solutions. Trust me, after every session you will see a difference. 

-Basics Fundamentals Tutorial session from 1-2 hours Once a week
This is for beginners or anyone wanting to brush up with the basics. This is set up by doing and XBL party of 3 or less then doing "Endless battle" within the party. I will lead the party. Here I will teach solid fundamentals such as Basic zoning, Footsies, Punishments, basic opponent reading and defensive strategies. I will walk though everything step by step as slow as you want so everyone can get a cahnce to learn basic solid gameplay. This in turn will immensely help out anyone who has any questions about basic to intermediate level things in SF4.

-Character specific tutorials and match up theory sessions 1 hour once a week
This is for the more advanced players. Here I will teach more character specific strategies and methods. Come here to fully learn the character you WANT to main. I will teach general things to look out for, things to use and how to use what you have to the fullest. Also here I can evaluate personal styles to match the character, We are gonna have a grand old time (Via Headset). I will also teach advanced techniques here, such as P-linking, Double taping, ect. And will spill some of the secrests I learned from endless tourney matches (Such as reading your opponent's mood, rhythm, momentum)

Now this also comes with pre-requites:

---You NEED A HEADSET, teaching you will be impossible without it, everyone needs to talk. This is how we communicate.

--- You have to register with me on this blog/my AIB page before I say you can join. I can't have too many people in the party. Remember the limit

The reason for capping is because I want to be able to teach everyone with enough time to make sure everyone is on the same page.

---If you say you are gonna go YOU BETTER go. I am gonna be very strict about this. If you flake once you better have a good excuse, but if you flake twice I might ban you from sessions. I want people who have the dedication to stay with this. I am taking time off my schedule to help others and some respect back would be appretiated.

---Keep it clean, this is a learning environment. No excessive trash talk or anything of the sort. Also don't john it is Online and connection problems can cause a little input lag, I already know this. If the lag becomes unbarable the person responsible will be kicked. Also starting arguments or being asn A$$ will aslo get you kicked.

---Make sure you have a good connection, if you have too much lag=You get kicked. If you cannot have a good connection from your place go somewhere else, I want as little lag as possible.

What's up guys? I know i've been off the grid for awhile but no I have NOT retired, it's more like taking a big break from smash and every other fighter I play except for SF4. I have been practicing SF4 almost exclusively now, as I have been playing SF for years, haha. I've been hardcore training getting ready for Evo, Evo quals are also approaching and I'm gonna see how I do, hopefully I can make something out of all this work. After evo though I do plan on making a return to the competetive scene down here in SoCal, and I really look forward to that.

I still firmly believe [Smash community>SF Community], I luv u guys!

Anyways here are some other things i'd like to add:

-My tourneys will make a return! This time at a proper venue (Sorry no more garage tourneys for me for awhile at least) I have found an investor who is willing to help me run tourneys (Don;t worry this will not be another activegamers, I know my stuff and know what is fair for the community.) Plus I have more control over the operation so any outside opinions would be greatly appreciated! I want to talor this to what the community wants, and as always give the rape tourney experience I always try to give.

-Race combos return also! look for them at my tourneys! Same great taste that all of you guys fell in love with!

-I have a few things in store for the rule set, some ideas and concepts that I have always wondered about. Also am planning to do a MK banned tourney.
