Lessons From the Dojo ("ASA")
My sensei began talking of "ASA."  To begin with, "asa" (朝) in Japanese means "morning" but the "ASA" that my sensei was talking about was an acronym for three things to remember in life.

Appreciation

"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have."
- Frederick Keonig

Satisfaction

"Each moment in time we have it all, even when we think we don't."
- Melody Beattie

Acceptance

"Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."
- Anonymous
