what's the dumbest thing you've ever done in your smash career?

Me: MM Nexus snake vs my mk. I kept losing and doing double or nothing until I owed him 80$. Thankfully he excepted my falco ditto and double 3 stocked him. Even though I ended up owing him nothing, it was still a stupid move and would have owed him 160$ if I would have lost again. What about you?

deciding to go to lost... while getting one hour of sleep. Plus working from 3:00 A.M.-10:30 A.M.(Of intense physical work and being completely exhausted on the drive back home). Deciding on joining the carpool to lost (at 11:00) then getting food poisoning before singles. Getting 3-stocked by t0mmy's ROB in like 10 seconds in WR1 but I came back and took 4th place somehow while vomiting each round before i started playing... yeah.. it was probably the dumbest choice on attending but Pwneroni carried me through doubles so I think it was worth it lol

I lost $190 to Itakio in Brawl- moneymatches. Somehow I won it all back.

I got sponsored to fly to SoCal for ActiveGamers in 2009 during the small period of time where I was the best player in WA. I got raped and embarrassingly lost a very close set to UTDZac, thus proving I was definitely not the best Game and Watch.

and losing a round off a random socal rob :P

Not driving myself on that fateful day. Playing this game at all. Trusting and respecting people when they continually fail to reciprocate.

I should have known from my first tournament experience that I shouldn't pursue this game but I had a dream of being a good brawl player (and other personal issues drove me to this game). I did gain perspective, but the perspective was depressing and the price was far too heavy.

I want to mention something more mundane but nothing really comes close in terms of experience. Like most of you, I had some great wins and some embarrassing losses.

that and in a match against a good MK, I read his ledge shuttle loop to second shuttle, and decided to side B instead of Fair... herpty derp I fell off the stage like a scrub and got trolled hardcore for it :P

One of the dumbest things I di was when I was at COT4. I was in losers bracket early on in the tournament and I fought against my own doubles partner, who was also diddy but was worse than I was. I easily beat him in a Diddy ditto, but then he CP'd RC as Kirby so I went G&W but I lost. Although my Diddy could have easily beaten his Kirby on a normal stage, I CP'd Norfair with G&W. During the match I was getting destroyed and I would have gotten like 64th place or something in the tournament. Though somehow I came back after all hope had been lost and I won the 3rd match. Then that same tournament I went on to beat another really good Kirby, a DDD named Turbo (I think), and then even Atomsk, getting myself 17th place in a national, the best I've ever done in any tournament.

But for dumb things that I did that costed me would be at Apex 2010, when I beat both Keitaro and GDX, and all I had to do was beat TUSM to get 2nd seed in round 2 pools. However, I lost 0-2 because I went Jigglypuff and G&W, and did not go Diddy at all. And because I lost 0-2, not only did I not get 2nd seed, I didn't even get 3rd seed and I didn't make it into the final bracket. Then for some reason I stuck around saturday night when I had no more purpouse being there, and I got stuck in a crowded hotel room with nothing to sleep on, not even a pillow. It was terrible.

and you pick playing this game, when you JUST...like a few months ago, JUST boasted about how you were going to be ranked higher than bizkit on PRs.
