There were three brackets: Singles, Amateur Singles, and Doubles. Singles and Doubles were the main attraction. Amateur Singles, less so, since it's only allowed to those who couldn't make it out of the pools.

Ally was to be expected, but Kain was awesome himself. Again, I'm glad to meet pros like them. The other ones near the top did a lot of work, too. GGs to all of them.

I had an endless streak of wins until Papa Z beat me in the Winners Finals. Then I went back and beat him in the already-finished Losers Bracket. Amateur or not, I definitely gained some more much-needed Marth experience out of it. I seek more still.

This isn't as important as the main Singles, but the fact that I made 1st place in this means that I should've been able to reach out of the pools for a little while. Some of the other players here had the potential to make it out of the pools as well.

This bracket was still a part of what is my biggest tourney venture, yet.
I thought my prize money was higher, though, but oh well. There was more to this event than just winning money.

Doubles Results

1: Logic/Ally (Logic/Ally) ($384.00)
2: Sugar Spice and Everything Nice (Bpow/Fino) ($192.00)

17: Smashing Buttons Like Simon, It's Mahvel (SoulPech/Juu)
17: FreeG and Bloshi (Sammy/MX)
17: The Falcons of America (Jt556/FalconFist)
25: SuperMegaAwesome (Zyth/Steep)

25: A Boy and His Bot (Commander G/Wiggy)

25: Scythe/Dtj Composer (Scythe/Dtj Composer)
25: Triangle Man (Travesty/LunaLang)
25: Aren't You Glad You Moved to Cincinnati?! (Crash/BetaDyne)

I've mainly trained myself to being a Singles player. This meant that I still needed to develop Doubles strategies.

Looks like I need to basically work on my Fox a bit further, and raise my patience of fighting as him like I mentioned in my previous blog.

No matter what I did before, I'm really just putting even more work into only Fox, now.

We all, as attendees, had an awesome time whether we won or not, mainly because of the venue itself. Hopefully I can get into something like this again.

Oh yeah, nice job getting first in amateur singles. Forgot to mention in last blog.
Carls493 wrote at 5:23 PM on Apr 9, 2012 :
I was mainly focused on main Singles and Doubles, but I later on realized that there was a high chance I would not get far based on some of the attendees who were also there. I still tried my best, but that wasn't enough.

I can, at most, do average to above-average, but I'm no Yui or TKD. This is why I made multiple blogs about finding other Fox mains, Fox's possibly MU ratios, and Fox's best stages, among other things, I think. I should make an updated blog about his stages.

I honestly completely forgot about the AM bracket until Hilt brought it up at the venue later. I'm sure many won't care about it, but I still consider winning THAT bracket a full accomplishment on my part of being in the offline Brawl community.

At least it's a start.

Even if you didn't make it out of pools, good stuff Carls. You made more money than I did that's for sure. xD

Carls493 wrote at 5:48 PM on Apr 9, 2012 :
Cam was in my pool. I remember beating him 2-0.

But then I lost some points to the rest of who was in my wave. Tako and Light were among them. This is how I would eventually enter into the AM bracket and go from there.

Zinoto lost to Fino in Winner's Bracket, and SneakyTako in Loser's (Sneaky is more than likely the #1 or #2 player in Ohio currently.)

Player 1 also had an easier bracket than Zinoto despite Zinoto getting 1st seed. P1 is a more knowledgable player and that helped him a lot this weekend. Having played both P1 and Zinoto, I believe Zinoto is an overall more solid diddy (he needs to get a lot of MU experience) but P1 has a very slight edge for now.

So carls you're getting a gold name on aib?
Carls493 wrote at 6:13 PM on Apr 9, 2012 :
idk. Does winning an offline bracket get you one? I'm sure I'd get a gold ribbon, but not a gold name.

Again, AM Singles weren't as important, but then again they were still a part of the whole event. I'll run this back to you once I get one or two messages regarding an update to the results of Saturday's 3 tourneys.

Then I very well may get one myself.

I'd like changing to a different color besides default. idk how long I've kept my name green.

I wasn't paying too much attention, but I think Ally and Kain were toe-to-toe with each other for a while until Ally overwhelmed Kain.

Kain knows how to approach and escape pretty good with Wolf. It looks like some of his strategy also involves predictions and mindgames like I'm trying to do with Fox. I still should watch more of what he can do, though.

Carls493 wrote at 9:07 PM on Apr 9, 2012 :
All I mainly knew before that bracket was JT, Kiest, Juu, SP, DBS, Cam, and K.Rung. If I go to these tourneys more I can remember more players better. I also remember MX, Kassandra, AZ, and Tako.

Some of everyone there surely remembered me from either online or offline elsewhere, but I may still need to acquaint with them if I am to know them better.
Cameron wrote at 9:21 PM on Apr 10, 2012 :
Yea.. It was just a bad day.. Next tourney if they have one anytime soon Ill do alot better.

Btw. my amateur bracket match I played a falcon in dittos an lost. So I left my losers bracket match. Thats how I got last lol. Either way it was a good tourney. I kno Im capable of way better so Im not gonna sweat it.
