In all honesty im pretty happy they listened to the fans but its not going to be the same as how it was back in the day. Toonami was sick because of all the old shows like Kenshin, YuYu Hakusho, DBZ, Tenchu Muyo, Outlaw Star, Cowboy bebop etc. I doubt they will bring those old shows back. My guess is they will show more "newer" anime now and tbh not alot of the GOOD anime right now isnt licensed in US (Not talking about the anime holy trinity....One Piece, Naruto & Bleach)a nd i seriously doubt they will broadcast Jap Dub anime with subs.

I thought it was just an april fools day prank, because it aired right before it iirc. Then it went away and I didn't hear a word about it again until today. They did have some of the old programs when they showed it a few weeks ago. I wasn't able to watch all of it, but iirc I saw Yuyu hakusho, dbz, and tenchi muyo... I'm hoping they will at least show some of the old shows, if not all of them.

Will Toonami come back just to air reruns of everything they had before they left? Or will they have fresher, more modern anime to serve to us? Or will they attempt both at once?

What matters right now is that Toonami is back. The next step is seeing what exactly does the block plan to show at this day and age.

If you check AS's schedule, it looks like they have 3 slots for new shows. My guess is they'll consolidate all of Saturday's anime into Toonami and use the 3 spaces for 2 classic Toonami shows and 1 new anime. One of the animes will probably be DBZ, but with only 1-3 eps a week idk how the **** they intend for it to be watchable. Or maybe they'll finish Yu Yu Hakusho.

I hope they still air some Adult Swim bumps during the anime though. AS Saturdays are just as close to a lot of people's hearts as Toonami.
