Project M v2 Demo Tier List Opinion
A: Lucario Sonic Falco Fox DK Marth Ganon

B: Jigglypuff
Luigi Ike Sheik C.Falcon Link Zelda Mario

C: Lucas Ness T.Link Pikachu Charizard Snake

D:
Wolf G&W Peach Wario Bowser DeDeDe Pit Rob

Just my opinion after 15-20  hours with the game.

Lucario is REALLY good and only really loses to Luigi, with even matchups vs most floaty characters.

Wolf Pit and Rob all need serious buffs.

Wario Peach Charizard and Ike I might be underestimating.  I really need to see a good Charizard because his speed/range/weight make him sound good on paper.

((This is cut and pasted from a later comment))
Fox and Falcon get chain throwed. Hard. By a lot of the cast. But both are still good I just see a bit of "polarity" with their matchups.

Sheik loses her chain throw. She's still really good, but so is everyone else.

Falco still has lasers, and now b reversal lasers which I think will be used over time.

Jigglypuff just gets out ranged really hard, plus everyone hits harder. Recoveries for a lot of characters are also really really good so edge guarding isn't as easy.

Luigi I might be rating too high, but I play "Abate" a lot and well... the buffs that luigi got scare me.

DK's f-air has ridiculous range and is 20% that is safe on block and combos into grab.

Peach had some "tougher than you'd expect" matchups in melee from link, young link, mario. Now all those characters are buffed plus there's Ike and a buffed DK.

Toon Link might be better, but I just see him getting rocked by fast characters who can approach with more range than him.

Strong Bad just told me shield stun is *exactly* as long as it is in melee, so maybe fox should be top tier I dunno. But again, chain throws with certain characters are REALLY EASY.

I've only played Lucario. Maybe played about 15 matches total. I think he's really good too and i haven't even messed with him in training mode yet. still waiting on ZSS tho.

Pit needs his brawl arrow damage

I would move up Ike, and Charizard definitely. I have faced really good Charizards and Ike, Charizard has a couple near inescapable combos, and Ike's range and power makes for really quick easy kills with the right spacing. Go to www.xat.com/dabessdi, has the best P:M players usually go there.

Jiggs should be god teir, She can kill bowser with her spike at 20% WILE THEY DI.

Not that they exactly changed Fox, but there are such changes. Plus many of the other characters were improved so Fox isnt as high and mighty in this one, especially on wifi.

Falcon and shiek are really broken.

@Ksizzle I'm maining Lucario too and go Marth for tough matchups.

@Ether
Wolf's really fun. His moves all feel great and his speed is awesome. He just doesn't have the shine combos that fox or falco have, while getting combo'd as hard as they do. Also I'm not sure if you can still cancel forward-B to extend its length? I never learned how to do it in brawl so I can't do it in project m.

Also they kept the ability to phantasm "through" the edge. Which is really fun, but it also makes sweet spotting the ledge awkward because you can only do it at one distance otherwise you're on the stage, so yeah sweet spotting with him is tougher than fox or falco.

You can air dodge out of laser with wolf. It needs more execution than jump cancelling but it's still good. Wolf's fine as is, though I wouldn't mind them giving him his jump cancel laser back.

how could lucario possibly be top tier? just camp him out LOL. the only way lucario gets supers is if he touches you and his mobility is ***
EmuKiller wrote at 10:30 AM on May 21, 2012 :
Lucario has a dash dance pretty comparable to Marth, except Lucario also has a down-B with invincibility. He also deals his 0-KO damage off a dash attack (as in, if you block or get hit by dash attack lucario gets a guaranteed combo) or grab, so it's kinda easier to land than marth's grab from melee.

He also doesn't really *need* supers, especially on spacies. Down throw to back air or n-air at high percents is a killing combo.
