Why do most people john in ladder feedback?

People John because its their way of making them feel better about themselves inside so they don't feel like a failure for dumb reasons. For example, if i played you and said "Laggy but gg," I would feel as though i tried my best and you I feel as though you only won because of this, even if its not true. Its purpose is not to offend or actually help anyone.
