Typical Older Siblings

I just noticed something, why come does the older sibling ALWAYS tend to overshadow the younger one. I know the first example that is going to come into your head and I already know Mario > Luigi; but seriously when looking at people I know the older sibling overshadows the younger one, here are examples.

Mario > Luigi [Obvious One]
Falcon > Believe [inb4S-BLAZEobjects]
Legoman > Java [Example for AiCers]
Rukirawrz > DSora
Reggie > Cod-E [Inside Joke so don't take this one too srsly]
Alec Baldwin > Daniel Baldwin, William Baldwin, Stephen Baldwin
Sacred > Minotaur
Wilbur > Orville
Tinky Winky > Dipsy > Laa-Laa > Po [Can't believe i'm putting this one up here].

Or else those are only examples I can come up of off the top of my head, but i'm pretty sure there are way more recognizable examples than just these.

@Jem: I'm aware of that blog but from my Point Of View it's the other way around it seems like. Not saying there aren't cases but from what I see.
