What is the best cheapest video editing software?

I've about had it with Windows live movie maker. It works when it wants too sometimes and is really unreliable. While i know there aren't very many GOOD free programs out there i know that some of them work fine for basic stuff.

I don't mind paying for software but anything over 60$ is my limit. Not trying to make a living off it or anything lol.

PLEASE LEAVE AN EXPLANATION OF WHY YOU PREFER SOMETHING!

Actually no. I take requests for rare soundtrack uploads. Recently i posted a soundtrack that apparently no on youtube had uploaded and it seemed no one else had on the net either. Since i bought the cd push came to shove :I.

its pretty cool you can add like cool video effects like shaking, burning fire on the sides of the screen,flickering, slow motion, speed up, and lots more.

-You can choose from over 100+ text (you can import text from internet too)
-add pictures from your Pictures folder(Like in ssbb cv's the have the char and their name when they doing the combo)
theres plenty to do, its eazy to learn and you change quality, ect.

yeah i recommend it for beginners and low budget. :L

you can add sound effects blah blah, i like it.
-oh and you can import music from comp/ youtube. and make it background music for videos. (i use it for uploading brawl matches)

Really when it comes to editing software your better off spending a little money. Especially if you plan to use it long term. Personally i used sony vegas movie studio HD platinum 11.0. It was like $130 but it's works very nicely. It's simple, works great, and does it's job good. While it was a little expensive (partially due to the fact i got one that could do some extra stuff i think they have a $60 version that has it all minus the extras i got) it was well worth it and my let's play videos look really nice. compared to say an AMV which is what i'm assuming you'll be making my let's play videos have a lot more crap going on with them too. Takes me about 3-4 hours to make one video, including recording, importing, editing, rendering, etc. you'll just throw in clips cut them where you need to and add in music into the timeline.

It's what a lot of naruto fans do, sorry. Fair enough. Just stating my opinion. There are also cheaper versions of what i use too. Best buy had 3 when i got mine, i just opted for the most expensive one.
