My response to the MLG situation
THE RULES CLEARLY STATE THAT: "No players may engage in 'intentional Forfeiting or conspiring to manipulate Rankings or Brackets,' with one of the possible penalties for such a violation being a competition ban."

Yet no such rule was broken by either me, or mew2king.

While I did offer to give him 300 dollars as a token as friendship because he had previously split with me when I was 2nd/3rd numerous tournaments in the past, it was not an intentional forfeit, rofl.

When I entered the ring (or stage if you must), Jason informed me that he was not playing well and he did not care of the result of the match. I said: "Alright, fine, let's just play it out."

So we did, and afterwards he asked me if I could split with him. I responded by saying "I'll give you 200-300 dollars, is that alright? I don't want a full split." Jason nodded and confirmed this was acceptable in agreement.

If the MLG staff prefers to respond with such a major punishment based on nothing but a silly game of telephone and rumors, so be it.

BUT PLEASE, DO NOT RELINQUISH WHAT I FULLY EARNED AT MLG DC. DO NOT TAKE AWAY THE 2,500, THAT'S ALL I ASK OF YOU. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

Also, if the 300 dollars is the reason why we are both being banned, I do not have the money at the moment. I can easily keep it all, as I'm sure Jason would still be content and agree with this decision.

Loool if you do get your money taken from you

then that would be a total of $4000+ that you got scammed out of from winning nationals XDDD

No Inui. look at the coincidence. ADHD writes a blog abotu admitting the 300 dollar thing yesterday during the investigation over the split

the net day, adhd and m2k are banned. they probably have it print screened. this blog is better. its more informative

Just because it's not a "full split" doesn't change the fact that you split.

smh

That story is almost congruent except for the fact that you split with him BEFORE you played your set when I tried to give Jason advice. He said he didn't want it, and then he whispered to me that you guys were splitting.

I'm pretty sure M2K just wanted you to play Richbrown, as you already split before hand with you moving on. That is conspiring to manipulate brackets, so you WERE at fault. GL on going to Dallas though. Maybe you can get them to believe your story.

Mew2King: "Jem - that's just for pride lol. I wasn't going to beat ADHD, and I had a bad controller, so I said to people that I threw it cuz I care about pride too much. I guess that's why it's such a big deal. I still tried to win, but deep down inside I knew I wasn't going to win, so I tried to make a deal with him. He didn't agree to it, he just raped me, and then after the tourney he felt bad and said he'd give me some."

and where in the rules does it say ANYTHING about where the winnings have to be spent? adhd could have given his whole check to m2k or burnt the check in front of everyone at the next event and it wouldnt matter. the issue right now is if m2k threw the set or not. splitting has nothing to do with anything (unless theres a rule somewhere that prohibits it that hasn't been brought up yet)

^^ That is what MLG reads. They'll think M2K is saying the truth to defend his lie. A lie creates a web of WTF. All they will care about is that at one point, there is "proof" from the man himself that he said he forfeited, and they have no reason to believe Jason is telling the truth now since he just lied lol.

why would m2k throw the set? I'm pretty sure he tries to win in any tournament...
Bames Jond wrote at 8:34 PM on Oct 27, 2010 :
as long as m2k didn't intentionally forfeit and they split after they played i don't see the problem.

because noone has single handedly taken M2K out of a tourney and if adhd does it M2K can still say he was just playing bad because he lost to different people if he loses to 1 person when everything is on the line it looks like he cant beat olimar (or Rich Brown)

so basically, its not a preordained split, more like consolation money after the fact, or a donation...
