If you want online, get the 360.

^ true but online costs money for the 360

Depends on what you like to play.
Xbox Vs. Ps3
Microsoft points vs. Money
Shooters vs. Fighters mainly
Both have Netflix/Blueray

Gimmicks: Xbox should never be moved when it has a game in it, plus the red ring of death. PS3 doesn't really have all that much error to it, except it never wants to turn off when you try to turn off the system (for me anyway, and that's not all the time though!)

Eh, minor stuff. Also, Xbox Live is free, but gold membership has cost to it, but it's pretty cheap nowadays and PSN network is free.

Hope that helps your decision.

ps3 doesnt have backwards compatiblity anymore (the 360 might not either)
i like a lot of the games on 360 such as left4dead and i aso use it for watching movies.

so i'd say 360 because i have it and like it

plus we could play online lol

oh yeah, ps3 has free online but xbox costs $50 a year (which isnt too bad actually, i just ask for a year long card for my bday/christmas and dont worry about it for the rest of the year)

Tired of the debates. Money isn't a big deal either way. Live shouldn't suck you dry and the PS3 is a one-time cost. It boils down to what exclusives you prefer and/or what the majority of your friends own. In my opinion, the PS3 has better stuff. Yes, I've played a number of 360 exclusives because my best friend has one and I prefer the PS3. If Halo's your thing and you'd rather not have to go to a friend's place to play it, go for it, if you feel like exploring the PS3 library, I'd strongly recommend it.

The 360 has a more active online community because of the depth that LIVE has but that's mostly if you're looking for disrespectful children who insult your race, your family, your way of life, wish death on you, and basically everything you can think of.

So, they're like the Brawl community if Wi-fi had voice chat.

i love having an xbox and i barely play it
i use t for a lot of video watching but some gaming here and there

it has all the games i really wana play besides MGS :\

and everyone plays xbox and are familiar with the games but i feel not as many are familiar with ps3s game selection, so its easier to find games for everyone to play when you're having people over

but ps3s are pretty coo too, i might pick another one up soon (sold my last one)

one thing you say makes me tink i want one, the other not xD
W.C.N wrote at 11:17 PM on Nov 29, 2010 :
do you have a psp because the added effect of using your ps3 and psp at the same time might be nice

Id say ps3 because I like fighting games and free online

I also have a friend the has had an xbox since a year after they came out and he is on his (I'm not kidding) 9th Xbox. He plays a lot of the visually striking games but I don't think thats any excuse for the system its made for breaking down. I myself have had an elite for 3 years and have only gotton the red rings once

I like Ps3 personally. You have to pay the online fee to be able to use Netflix on Xbox. Ps3 has that for free and blueray. And any game worth having is out for the Ps3 but they also have exclusives like Little Big Planet, Uncharted, and Metal Gear.

But if the majority of your friends have an Xbox and you want to be able to play with them, you should get an Xbox.

It depends on your personal preference of exclusive games.

Also whatever systems your rl friends have makes a difference. This is so you can play with them offline and online, and you can borrow games from them and borrow them games.
