Juice Gaming and Izze Present: Concentrate IV!

Event type: Tournament
Date: March 31, 2012
This tournament will be sponsored by Izze sparkling juice!

WE NEED HACKED WIIS AND SD CARDS (or any other method of playing Brawl-)! There will be a Brawl- side event for $5 after singles finishes (time permitting). The most recent release of the game will be used.

SIGN UPS: 3PM
BRAWL SINGLES: 4PM

BE ON TIME!

Hey everyone, Juice Gaming is back with another awesome addition to the Concentrate series!

Unlike all of our previous tournaments, registration for Concentrate IV begins at 3:00 P.M. The tournament will start promptly at 4:00 P.M. The event is going to be singles only, and we intend to finish around 9-10 P.M.

Unfortunately, we have to cap singles entrants at 40. Concentrates I and III had roughly 40, but Concentrate II had 57 entrants and ran over twelve hours long. In order to conserve time and venue space for Local Battles' regular paying customers, an entrant cap is necessary. Registration is first come, first serve, meaning that if you want a spot in the bracket, you need to be at the venue with $20 ready as soon as possible. Calling the tournament organizers ahead of time will not secure you a spot in the bracket. Signups begin at 3 P.M., so there are no excuses for being late.

However, this does not mean that if 40 people enter the bracket, you can't come! There is no restriction on how many spectators attend.

Online registration is available at http://www.clashtournaments.com until 8 PM!

At Juice Gaming, we strongly support experimental rulesets. We banned Meta Knight at three of our events before it was a requirement of the Unity ruleset to do so and saw massive success. To continue our trend of experimenting (and because Doom and Diem are going to Japan), we will be running a slightly modified version of Rain's Sunrise Tournament rules!

The full, unedited ruleset can be found here: http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=11273460&postcount=141

Fort Lee is right next to New York City--in fact, the George Washington Bridge is located in this town. There's a bus stop right across the street, and this is one of the easiest venues to access! There is also plenty of food easily within walking distance.

Local Battles has only been open for a few months, but has already broken out in the fighting game community, making a huge splash in Mortal Kombat, SSF4, and MvC3. Now, by partnering with Juice, they're gonna be bringing you the next level of gaming in Smash!

The place is mostly a LAN center with a few used games, but they're all ready to make our event a huge success! We'll have roughly 50% of the store dedicated to this event, and a professional level stream coming your way!

Air conditioned, tons of seating, and it's run by a group of really fantastic people!

Singles: $10
Venue fee: $10

Spectators must pay the venue fee!

Jaxel of http://www.8wayrun.com will once again be providing his gorgeous stream for our event! Check it out at http://www.twitch.tv/8wayrun and don't forget to hit that follow button!

Doors open at 3pm, but there may be people waiting in line earlier than that. Make sure you get here early if you want to ensure that you make the bracket! Also, we need a few more Wiis, so please bring some systems.

And if anyone brought a triwing screwdriver for me, I'd be willing to surgically alter myself to bear your children.

Between Facebook and here, we're looking at the cap! Please come early, this is going to be a very intense tourney. A lot of high level players, and you'll featured on the clearest, most professional, and definitely most hype stream in the Smash Community!

See you guys tomorrow!

The people going to that were unlikely going to come to this to begin with, minus 3-4~.

That other event is a local tournament, with no coverage. It's specifically a LI community event. Ours is for the country, a highlight of our region. Apples and oranges.

Yes, but this time there's another tournament on the same day that's taking some people away. I'm only saying we probably won't get 40. inb4wedo.

Then again, Leap of Faith probably substitutes Long Island anyway. So idk, it might get 40.
juice.Doomastar wrote at 3:43 PM on Mar 28, 2012 :
This isn't a New England tournament, lol. Our lowest event entry has been 39.
dmbrandon wrote at 2:36 PM on Mar 28, 2012 :
We're pretty confident we'll have at least 35 people enter.
Not CT Bloodcross wrote at 1:45 PM on Mar 28, 2012 :
You'll need to get there early anyway so you won't get screwed by 40 person cap. Even though I don't see 40 people coming, no offense.
