Spo-klash 2012

Event type: Tournament
Date: June 9 – 10, 2012
Spokane's Premier fighting game tournament is back and better than ever! This year looks to put us on the map and bring in record attendance!

Some big announcements on how we're improving SpoKLASH this year!

-This year we will be holding all of our multiplatform tournaments on Xbox 360. The use of only PS3 was a huge complaint from our player base from 2011, so we wanted to make it easier for people to get involved and create less hassle for us!

-We're having a rave! This year, on Saturday night, after all of the tournaments have wrapped up, we are throwing a party FOR ALL OF YOU! Kings of Spokane is helping us hold an all-ages rave, one that you get into at no additional cost to your general admission ticket! Those not attending SpoKLASH on either day for tournaments are invited as well! More information on this rave is coming up!

-Finally, the biggest announcement of all! CASH PRIZES! This year, SpoKLASH will have cash prizes (and maybe more) for all of it's main events! Each of the main tournaments will have a $10 entry, and that entry goes entirely to prizes! The more people that come, the more money you stand to make, so invite everyone you can, so we can make SpoKLASH the Inland Northwests biggest fighting game tournament!

We may also have trophies or something small for bragging rights!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kings of Spokane Present:
SpoKLASH: Electronic Bass Beatdown

To celebrate our inaugural tag team of Electronic Dance Music & Hard Core Gaming, we bring you two powerhouses:

With the stature of Zangief and sounds sweeter than Jigglypuff, it's the one and only Shauk!

And bringing more power than a full-meter Blanka, it's DJ Theology!

Show starts at 6. Costumes and kandi are always encouraged.

YOU DON'T WANNA MISS THIS!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pricing:

A few things we're doing different from last year. This year, to accommodate the new prizes, and the larger expense of the event, we're charging an admission fee. This fee helps us pay for the costs of setting up and organizing our tournament, as well as pays for the entertainment and advertising!

Admission:
$10 per day.
$15 for the weekend.

Tournament Entry:
$10 Per Player, Per Event (Goes entirely to prizes for that event!)
$15 Per Team, Per Team Event

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Many of you are asking about our tournament roster this year. As with the prior year, we chose the first 3 games. Our method for decision is always the two most popular events from the prior year, and one newcomer, as decided by us. The rest were chosen by the community via Facebook and our website! This is how we choose our events from year to year, so be sure to be ready to vote for SpoKLASH 2013!
