I think peach and zelda, out of all the players I fight. When someone uses Peach and Zelda, they are the toughest to counter I find, but also the easiest to kill when you manage a hit.

Personally, I thought Smash was made to play with items, hence the unbalance of characters with no items. Anyway, it's too complicated to have rules for items. Maybe a medium items all allowed ladder would be good.
