SOTW #45: Monochromatic - Voting
Don't we all. Even after an almost year long hiatus, it feels like I should be doing better when that and my current signature is the best I can pull off. I think I need to go back to square one and start reading tutorials again; there seems to be a ton I missed and I seem to be doing the same old effects over and over again. Problem is that most of what I find is stuff along the lines of "Basic Signature tutorial" that pretty much only teaches you where the brush tool is and tells you to go crazy.

I got a distinct feeling like its gonna be Player 4 (I CnC'd at SWF as you know) and me in the bottom two...

Thanks for the critique, Deepthroat. To be frank, I pretty much just threw together that monotone piece and text (as it was mandatory) last minute as you could tell and, personally, I prefered how it looked before I added the monotone piece. I honestly could have spent more time on it, but to be frank I honestly get to a point with a lot of my signatures where I know a signature is gonna suck yet have no idea what to add, how to fix flaws, etc.

I'm not voting until I can see Poog's at the correct size. I got a feelin it's gonna be nice, but I cant tell at that size. Chain's tag feels incomplete to me. I'll do CnC later, but the amount of entries have been disappointing me a lot. I feel there isn't really no sense of competion without around 8 or more tags entered. If art section could get some recognition on the front page, it would definetly do it good.

I've noticed that as well. Unfortunetly SOTW is naturally gonna scare off those that are a bit newer to signature making and, thus, shrinking the playing field significantly. I'm not sure how posting more from us on the front page will do us much good. Think of it; those who have a relative interest in Art or signature making gravitate towards here already. Sure there might be a couple rogue sig makers,  but they have to be pretty far into the minority. Unless we could have a teaching service or we have some other incentive rather than a participant badge for entering I'm afraid there isn't a whole lot we can do to expand the entry numbers.
