This is the same issue im having with my hp tv tuner. If I hook up my composite cables from my cable box it shows on my lap top and i can change channels- record live t.v -pause- rewind.. But when i hook up my wii it doesn't register a video either!!!!!!! Im not sure why but i think it can tell the difference between a cable box signal and a wii signal but im not sure. Im still trying to figure out a way around this so if i do i'll be sure to post it here to help out anybody else that is frustrated by this issue!!!!

Good quality!!! I guess you decided on not getting a capture card after all!!!!! You can tell it was recorded off screen with a digi cam though but still good.  Im trying to get my tv/analog tuner card to work with the wii but having some issue. This would only be for recorded movies i have stored on my sd card and not live gameplay.
