It's alright lol I guess we'll see The only thing that would bother me is coming, and having it postponed (I bike, and who knows if anyone is taking the bus/driving there, which = money/time wasted). I don't really have a problem with it though.

I don't think I've ever seen a (Melee) tournament in socal that has been over $5 for singles without good reason. I know people charge $5 for singles and $5 for venue usually, but that's because they have large, comfortable venues. Lower-class venues usually do charge around $0-$3 dollars, so it makes sense to charge $8. With the 360 as a grand prize, it might be better to just say "$5 for singles/$3 venue" simply because $8 looks intimidating. Same thing with a guaranteed cash prize. TBH, I think the best scenario is to just have the $5/$3 set up with singles money going toward the pot, and venue money going to the venue, just so that way you guys can EVENTUALLY have a 360 as a prize, and not lose money. It just makes a lot more sense to me. You can go ahead and do what you want though, since this *is* your tournament. I'm just trying to help. I think a minimum of 32 people for a new-ish no-name (no offense) tournament might be unrealistic. Especially considering your target players are people who are new-ish or not good (relatively speaking). soooooooo i dunno, up to you
