Virus Alert

I just use linux period, that helps a lot.

heh I make most of my money on windows systems. I dont recomend linux in all cases but it is getting to the point where Ubuntu and Fedora are excellent OS's for everyone.

On the OP: As long as you have your files backed up in your external hard drive, that part is taken care of. Make sure that you have everything beforehand though.

The virus might be on the hard drive. This is the hard part. You might need to nuke some "questionable content" or questionable files (such as your system files, you dont need that on a backup anyway).

Virus Alert
Quote (originally posted by MHizzle):
For a couple of weeks, I've been having some difficulty trying to back up my files with my "Backup and Restore Center" program. Just tonight, when I tried to backup my files, it failed to do so by giving me this message saying "access denied." Then, immediately after the message, my Sophos Anti-Virus software pulls out this pop-up window:

When I click on the hyperlink, I get this information:

So clearly, I have some sort of virus in my computer. Now, after looking at the info, I figured that if I just open Sophos, that I can just easily delete the virus. So I click on the quarantine and it shows the virus. Now I tell Sophos to delete it. However, immediately after I give it the OK to delete the virus, the deleting process failed. Afterwards, I go the the Sophos webpage with the info, and it tells me how to delete it. The only problem is that it turns out that I have an outdated version of my anti-virus software (v7.6.21). Perhaps I should update my anti-virus software. But before I do, what else can I do to get rid of this stupid piece of **** virus?

There are other virus checker software like clamwin. Try that as well. I would suggest backing up everything either way. Then if the virus checker does not work:
1) BACK UP
2)reload the OS with backup disks
3) reload
This should nuke the virus as long as your origional files are not virused.

I usually use linux to backup the files so that nothing gets transfered.

Furries

Indeed I do :3

The story telling in that comic is phenomenal.

You might like "Yet another Fantasy gamer comic". It has a huge storyline. Most of which is quite good. Again deals with adult themes and some horror but goes over individual storylines as well.

"Digger" is also a very visual comic that happends to be very furry in nature. Actually its more like a graphic novel. I love the artistic style of the comic and the dry humor.
