I think it's more important in post game actually. Like if I try to offer advice or even talk about Brawl to my bro he says: "shutup Ben, you suck at this game" all I said was I don't believe that just because a character is top teir means anything and he just said that out of the blue. I believe that if someone loses a match it should not be brought up mockingly.

I am a respectful smasher cause i taunt "the lag" whenever i completely own somebody, even if there is no lag.

I discovered playing Brawl practically eases my stress.
I play brawl for fun and to meet new people.
I give constructive criticism; meaning good advice to make the opponent and myself better.
I become aquainted to gamers across the world to improve the Smash community.

IMO, although Nintendo had introduced online wifi to the consumers, it could have been improved during the duration of the game delays.  Nonetheless, the wifi option has brung many smash players together. 

I look forward to playing as much people as I can. 

im like that sometimes well most of the time. when there is a player either garbage or not i still say good game and ur very skilled keep it up and all that. even though they never give me no props. now when they start being too cocky and like those peolpe who be starting off then i get taunty and stuff and mean like when they SD themself i say stuff like good move and lol and stuff. then they get mad and quit out or change there main or something like that. but that's mean and i shouldn't do that also with certain people if they SD themselves then i just go kill myself too to even it out.

I'm a respectful smasher because I play to have fun, not to win, and I only get mad if it's my brother and he has won for the thousandth time with Wario. I. Hate. Wario.
I do not hog the edge of a stage, although sometimes I DO manipulate Kirby's Stone Glitch. But that's just with my brother.
I try not to get frustrated, even when the lag is AWFUL, and I give the match my best shot.
I often blow myself up on purpose in order to give other smashers a good laugh.
I design my stages so that they are Ganondorf-friendly.
In online matches, I always choose Smashville, and never Spear Pillar.

I know I am a respectful smasher. My friends tell me so! I almost never hog the edge of a stage, only when I'm one life down. However, what really ticks me off, is when even before the match starts, the opponent starts trash-talking the character that I am using, saying stuff like "what a bad character", that makes me want to go all out on them, and not even play around. Then they say "wow I never knew he/she was that good" ...*sigh* (just look at the floor and shake his hand...)

-Wait for afk people
-Don't John (No "You're using snake" excuses... stupid peeps)
-Give it your all
-give positive critique

As for me, I just don't get angry at people no matter what they do. Spam, camp, do whatever, but I don't get mad. It's a part of the game, so I deal with it.

I don't spam moves just to annoy people.
I lose a life if someone lost theirs accidently.
I say nice moves and good game the whole way thru.
I won't offend u while playing.

I think I'm a respectful smasher because I'm the kind of dude who knows when to take matches seriously, and when to joke around. I can debate without having to stoop down low. I also wait til a person finishes taunting, and I compliment KOs in the middle of a match (My 2 taunts are "Beautiful KO" and "That was GH Epic.") so when my opponent scores a KO or maneuver, I compliment with one of those two taunts. Also, when appropiate and only during friendlies, when my opponent SDs right dieing, I SD myself to even it out. I also give tips on their character and playstyle, and a bit of critique after the matches, and I always say GG. I have a few other things, but I think that's enough for now.
