The theory behind it is that the Egg Lay Cancel a.k.a. Egg Lay Fake is performed by latching the opponent with the verrrrryyyyyy end of the tongue causing them to not get pulled in in time, so he must've determined the distance from the ledge that will cause an ELC/ELF.

It seems as if the opponent needs to be the distance of Battlefield's ledge to the closest edge of the nearest platform.

To be honest, i did not know the exact distance. being that the hit box on each character is different, you have to literally learn in for every character.

You say this is old (back in 2008) and your right, because im the one who found it. I reported it after killing praxis's Peach last stock in a tourney and everyone flipped. It literally took me that long to sit down and figure it out before i could show the rest of you rather that just the word of it.
