Character and Stage Selection Rules --------------------------------------------------------------
All characters are available - there are no banned characters.
Teams are understood to consist of 1 player each in Singles and 2 players each in Doubles.
Controller Port Selection 1) Teams agree to Controller Port selection (Port 1, Port 2, etc).
2) If there is a conflict, play Rock/Scissors/Paper. Winner chooses Controller Port first, loser has first pick of Team/Character color.
3) Due to game mechanics, Port selection for Doubles must follow the “1-2-2-1” pattern. (I.E. Team 1 must have Ports 1 & 4, and Team 2 must have Ports 2 & 3).

Round 1 Character/Stage Selection -----------------------------------------------------------
Character Selection is done “Double Blind” (see below). Any Team may elect to skip the Double Blind selection by openly performing character selection before the opposing Team.
Double Blind Character Select Characters chosen 'Double Blind' are selected in a manner so that neither Team knows the opposing Team's character choice.
Elimination Stage Select Stage Selection will be determined by “Elimination” method, as follows:
1) The Team with the Controller Port closest to Port 4 chooses one stage from the “Starting Stage List”. That stage is eliminated and is unavailable to play for this Round.
2) The opposing Team then chooses one of the remaining stages to eliminate.
3) The process is repeated, if necessary, until one stage remains. That stage is selected for play this Round.
*Teams may agree to start on any specific stage, or to opt for “Random” (allowing the game to select among BF, FD, SV)*

Round 2 Character/Stage Selection -------------------------------------------------------------
1) The Team that lost the previous Round announces a “Counter Pick” Stage. This stage is selected from the Counter Pick Stage list plus any "Extended" stages added by the TO (see below).
2) The Team that won the previous Round then selects character/s.
3) The Team that lost the previous Round selects character/s.
Rounds 3+ Character/Stage Selection --------------------------------------------------------------
In the case of additional Rounds beyond two, repeat Round 2 Character/Stage Selection rules, steps 1 to 3.

Day two:
IF we conclude singles on day one Doors open @ approx 10:00, registration ends @ 1130, Tourney begins shortly thereafter
If we need to finish Singles, ALL people left in the tourney are expected to be there by 11 which is when we start the bracket, and then Doubles begins right after.
A lot of the schedule depends on the attendance and what we get done on what day but just plan to be at the venue @ 1030 at the latest, and you should be fine
