I would love to play as Midna in the next SSB game. Either by herself or on top of Wolf Link. She was awesome in Twilight Princess and I'm sure she would be awesome in a SSB game too.

Shadow a definite
Will and Gage from Advance Wars
Ken the Eagle
The Return of some Melee chars would be awesome
The Hero from Red Steel
Wylfred and Ancel from Valkyrie Profile
Someone from Final Fantasy
Guys from Contra, going to classics like Pit

Overall, there are so many great suggestions, just to many to choose from. I also believe that no character should represent their gaming franchise alone, so maybe we can have a new char to stand side by side like lone representers like Falcon, Snake, Sonic, Pit, and Olimar.

I'm not sure overall...maybe a new character from a really old game maybe like Nightshade or the guy from Karateka or kung fu.  A Mii is alright also.  Other than that...

DK series : Funkey Kong or Dixie Kong
Wario series : Captain syrup
Earthbound series : Poo
Japan only : Spelunker, Lip, and Kunio
