Do CPU's in Brawl learn from you?
I was playing a Vs. match against a level 9 computer and the CPU grabbed the edge to let me die. I usually do that to a lot of people like friends and such in matches. I practiced doing that to CPU's and like 9 matches later the CPU does that to me.

CPU isn't designed to be adaptable or at least that adaptable, many competitive players say playing against CPUs makes them worse, but what happened to you, I can see, since when I play against the CPU as Lucas against G&W or peach, it seems to know exactly how to kill me....

I know it sounds strange but it's not true. The CPU dosn't learn from you. I know because when I play as Mario, I can just stand near the edge of the stage and shoot fireballs again and again, and the CPU can't pridict the next fireball I shoot after another. And yes, it's on level 9.

Is it called spam?

I've heard CPUs learn how to get around a move after it being spammed on them.

I believe they can adapt, idr where but I found a video of someone actually proving in training that computers can learn to adapt. Not just that but they also learn to tbag instead of taunting after someone dies if you do it often...

I've heard it is in training mode where they learn your moves.

Yes CPU do learn from you, for example my CPU fox uses SHDL once ever macth. But CPU are still predictible and easy since they fall for the same stuff ever time, do Snake's Dthrow Chain grab on the edge of the stage and the CPU will keep getting back up the regular way.

CPUs can't really learn by the strictest definition of the term. They can adapt and take what you use against you if it's effective enough, but after the match is over, the CPU pretty much has to "relearn" what you did. So while CPUs can learn to dash dance or crouch over and over again, its knowledge only lasts for that one match. Also, I'll hazard a guess that CPUs ledge-grabbing for kills is something that was in their programming. I may be wrong on that count though.

for the most part, I guess your mileage may vary on that idea... I personally have a hate on fighting Luigi since for whatever reason, he frequently gets around my Sonic's offense and counters.

Haha no way they learn from you. They wouldn't be so easily exploitable otherwise.

I don't know, my mk learns from me and uses nado as much as some competitive players. Even though my marth hasn't learned to use side b in recovery, as hasn't my mk when a side b saves him instead of an down b. So I really don't know

No cpu's don't learn from humans, because if they did it would cause people to start ragequittin offline. It would be like... that level nine cpu forced me to quit playing brawl guys!

My Lucas and Ness CPU do lots of short hops, and I do them a lot.
Would you even read something as useless as this?
