One of Mo's old ones. No matter what you're going to have to land some tricky spikes to improve your score.

In general though, make sure you have the dash left flying start BTD ANA down solid. That's by far the best start, and if you're trying to make new strats without it just stop

I'm having trouble with Tomo's Pit strat. Can't seem to get the timing or the parts of the strat which come after the first BD ABA.

Could someone break down the strat for me, please? Like how exactly I should proceed after the BT UP + Forward Smash?

I thought it was an easy strat. I had some frames left at the end as well.

214% BiH with Pit. Very difficult for me to do the SJ BD ANA at the last part with this Wavebird controller, but I'll get it done.

Luigi NoDBDs 5780.0ft.... 216-->257. Beat sate by 1%, but my strat uses 1 extra BT which stales the ending (like my Dedede) -.-

I still want this record. The 6k/22X%before strats I had in mind are looking impossible btw

212 fails with sate's Luigi strat. This is the only strat that makes the BD spike easier. I have trouble fastfalling the BD rej BD ABA though.

Yeah that's pretty difficult to do. I'd bet money sate used at least one pause for that honestly. Once you begin going the pause route in hrc, it becomes incorporated in your "meta game" or whatever the term is. I can admit to not being entirely pause-free even in some of my nodbd records. I would've liked to keep it all pauseless, but my IC record (the NBD one with multiple batswing desynchs) ruined that goal long before. Paused so many times there. Still, it's pretty minimal, and often times not even for Z'ing. In my Marth record, I pause before fastfalling the second uair so that I can maintain a better control of the positioning. In a few of the opening luigi replays in my vid, a pause or two was used. One pause was used for the actual record, too.

I never pause for any of my records, except for retries.  It messes up my gameplay and I can't get back to what I was doing.

Oddly enough, it's become almost natural for me.. like taking a breath during the run.

226-228% is good/fair maxing with that strat. 229-231% is excellent, and anything higher is epic maxing and very difficult to get.


As for me, I'm still in a bump in the road for IC...

Kirby, Meta Knight, or King Dedede.  Do the harder characters first.  I heard you already 1km Kirby already in the past, though.

Ice Climbers nodbd - 4285.2ft / 1306.1m, 31@271. Stopping here. Seen 272 so I think I can get the WR tie, but it's too annoying. Knowing that IC is next on my to do list has made me avoid playing NoDBDs. Just want to be done with IC and move on.
