No, meta knight isn't making me lose, that was never my point. And honestly the Oregon ban doesn't matter to me because I know it wont happen no matter how many polls we hold or how many arguments we have. what bothers me is that even though its so painfully obvious that meta is making things worse (In the community as a whole) and that he should be banned none of the top meta knight players (In Oregon) even acknowledge that fact.

I don't think an outright ban will happen either, but with this many people asking for an event without MK it looks like we'll get one in addition to having an MK-only competition for a Meta Knight plushy.
As a new top Meta Knight main (went all Meta last BB) I'll acknowledge he makes things worse. But I also think he makes some things better, which is why I play him now. I think the better option would be to ban everyone except Meta Knight (paraphrasing Foos, circa 2010)

I obviously don't fully equate 'winning' with 'fun' otherwise I wouldn't have gone all Olimar at that OSU tourney; I would have counterpicked Jonix's Snake with my Dedede at that one time; and I also would have dropped Kirby over a year ago and never looked back.

I look at things as objectively as I can, and based on such objective views my opinion is that Meta Knight isn't 'ban worthy'. Objectively speaking, I can also see a growing response from the community toward the ban. Based on this objective viewpoint I can see how if enough people want said ban, then that would justify holding MK-banned events.

Meta Knight won't be banned at my next event, not because of my own personal views but because the people who are attending are not significantly against the ban. It would be another matter entirely if the players interested in attending my tournament were to say otherwise. I wouldn't hesitate to ban Meta Knight at my tournament if a significant number of participants wanted it that way.

I can see why Viviff went on the defense when I posted a trite shoutout about 6 of the 8 spots seeing a MK player:

Viviff wrote at 11:36 AM on Oct 27, 2011:
My whole point on this matter is that in Oregon, there isn't an overabundance of MK... Until I'm presented wth an actual "problem", I can't believe this conversation even happened in the first place.

Guess I shouldn't mention that 4 of the 7 entrants played MK in the previous BB (The top 4). X^]

I don't hold this information back even if it weakens my anti-ban stance, I'm not the one and only person who makes a decision for the community -- we all do. I really dislike when there's attempts at suppressing information.
