Texture Hacking -- Help Please! - I seem to have hit a wall... can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Texture Hacking -- Help Please!
So, I have been trying to use some textures I downloaded, but they never seem to load. Here is my setup:

Wii System 4.3u
PNY 2GB sd card, FAT formatted
Homebrew channel and Gecko OS

Folders on my SD card:

With SD card in Wii, I load Smash Bros. Brawl through Gecko. It says the codes are found... but when I go to Pit's #02 color, the texture doesn't load. I even give it the suggested 10-30 sec wait just in case. Nuthin... 

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?!?

You have the file patch code, right? Do your other codes work when you play it?

also, put the file patch code as the very first code in your code list just in case.

^That's not actually necessary, because my codesets are never like that and they always work.

Huhhh... well I got it to work, but I'm not entirely sure how! I tried a few things, among which was removing any other files from the apps folder other than the Gecko files. Should that really matter?! Oh well, all the hacks are working now, so I am happy enough. Thanks, guys!!

One more question. In the codes folder, is it OK to have more than one .gct code file, or does all the code you want to run have to be contained in one file? (ex: can the File Patch code and Unlock All Characters code be in separate .gct files and still both run?)

I've never tried having multiple code files... I always just make a new .gct and add all my new codes in there... My guess is that there would be a problem if there were multiples because instead of having RSBE01.gct you'd have RSBE01(1).gct
You can try it though

Mkay, I was thinking it probably wouldn't work, so I will just avoid doing so.

So, NEW question!
I have been working on swapping out the original character's portraits on the character selection screen and in battle portraits. I have got the in-game mini portraits, result screen portrait, and the large picture in the character selection screen changed (where you select character's color). However, I don't know what files to alter in order to change the small icon on the character selection screen, the names on the character selection screen and in-game, or the sound files.

ex) I have altered these already:
     MenSelchrFaceB000.brres for the result screen portrait
     InfFace000.brres for the in-game mini portraits

Which files for the above mentioned parts I a missing, and what folders do they go in?
