Deadline: November 4th Prizes: Pack of S5 cards and coins (amount depends on number of your snapshots that win). Hey look, it’s another one of these! This time, we’re in need of
DUO CARDS. Basically, just
two characters in one snapshot (side note: we're going for a "team" feel, so they probably shouldn't be fighting each other). An example is posted in the main group page. Here’s some other examples of snapshots.
CF and Olimar Pit and Dark Pit Fox and Falco
Resizing is not necessary. There’s also the option of taking two snapshots that you think would fit well together, which may or may not be harder to do. No examples of that, unfortunately.
Just post the links to your snapshots in this thread for them to be considered. Only
the links! We don’t want to clutter the thread. Also, post a quote if possible.
The two characters can be of any color or of any series, but try to get some kind of relationship. I would also recommend two different characters, unless there’s some significance (Ex: Pit and Dark Pit because of KI: Uprising) See the "Team Fire Emblem" on the card above?
The two characters have to be such that you can describe them with a phrase. But if the snapshot is REALLY good, we can and probably will make exceptions. Avoid texture hacking the characters - stages are fine. Enigma's only exception to texture hacking characters is to create a pair that makes sense. Ex: Samus and Dark Samus.
There is no set deadline at the moment, but it will be posted whenever it’s decided (closer to when series 5 is released, most likely). We already have some snapshots, but if you manage to get better ones, we'll use those instead!
There is
no limit to how many snapshots you can enter, and no set limit to how many winners there can be. However, standards are going to be higher than the series 4 contest because we don't necessarily need a duo card of X and Y character. But we will get a duo card for every character.
Prizes! Winners will receive the Artiste badge and cards (didn’t see that coming).
The exact cards haven’t been decided yet; there might be a poll later to help decide. Prizes are series 5 cards. Your name will also be displayed on the card.
Also, series 5 will come out faster! (Unless there aren’t any good snapshots submitted at all, which would suck) Derp.
Have fun~
Guidelines to winning: -Have two characters with some sort of significance
-Center the characters
-Have a suitable background
-Have the characters be doing something interesting or have cool poses
-Don't have too much empty space in the snapshot (Zoom in/have the characters to the right and left of each other. Vertically doesn't work as well because snapshots are landscape)
Enigma's insight (related to the 4th point)
How do you get snapshots on the computer? You'll need to get a SD card to transfer them to a computer and then convert the snapshots. To do that you'll need a program that converts .bins to .jpegs.
Edited for clarification.
