Big City Gamin', the Oregon state tournament series that has recently taken off, is back at it with a third Smash Tourney series for 2012.

Games Featured:


SSB (Wii Virtual Console) -- SSBM (Gamecube) -- SSBB (Nintendo Wii) -- Skullgirls (Xbox 360) -- Kid Icarus (3DS)


Costs of Events:
Venue Fee (at BCG only): $5
No venue fee at our place, but please be respectful!

SSBVC 1v1: $0 Buy-in*
Melee 1v1: $5 Buy-in*
Melee 2v2: $10/team Buy-in (that is $5/person)*
SSBB 1v1: $0 Buy-in*
SSBB 2v2: $0 Buy-in*

Skullgirls: $0 Buy-in*

Kid Icarus Uprising: $0 Buy-in*

*Prices are set by attendees, I want to try out a free event to see how it affects newcomers. Default is set at Free until a consensus has determined the price of buy-ins. Payouts based on buy-ins.

Bonus: $50 cash prize from BCG for SSBB events. Non-cash store prizes (e.g. gift certificates, shirts, games, etc.) may be given out to 1st-4th place as well.

Japanese ruleset is like standard Oregon ruleset except with a 50 LGL and no scrooging rule. So, in a way, yes, we'll be using it but without those two rules... unless everyone really wants them? I don't think they would make any difference if we implemented them or not.

Okay, so possible dates for everyone look like May 26, June 2, and June 30.

Yes, we will probably have it a 1v1 unless we get like 12 people bringing a 3DS and entering in teams.

Another poll on the date has been put up to let everyone give input on when they'd like to see this happen.

Get the date confirmed with BCG asap. I know the owner said the 16th is iffy right now, so get something set and update the info here for everyone.

Every time I've gone in there to get a confirmation they say it's Keagan's day off and he'll be in tomorrow before 4p. Got the same deal today.
Time's running out on the 16th, so it's more likely the 23rd, which I can only hope works for everyone.

Yeah, Keagan could not do the 16th, he'll be out of town that day and I guess the store wouldn't be able to host a tournament.
He said any other day after that should be fine. I said the 23rd would have to do then, even though a couple people might not be able to make it.
I have yet to 100% confirm the date, but I don't get home until well after Keagan leaves the store and I can't get a hold of him on the phone. I'm going to try to get out early today and get the 100% confirmation date because I hate not having things 100% confirmed.
But it's 99% likely to be the 23rd (I won't be able to host on the 30th, since I'll be at Jonix's reception).

the 23rd I will be at a wedding since I am one of the groomsman. Though since it works out for everyone else I hope everything comes together well :-)
