See my world record event 15 normal video.

This actually brings up something I've been thinking about, which is that WR ties shouldn't count towards the badge unless...
1. You were the first to obtain it
2. Your WR tie isn't due to a maxed out strategy.

So, some examples:
Only SW can get a badge from 38.95 on Event 14 hard since he got it first. Nobody else can unless they come up with a strategy that beats 38.95.
If someone ties a record such as Lucas 10-Man Brawl, that person will get the badge.

The reasoning behind the policy is so we don't have 50 people getting the badge all from the same score.

Thoughts on this? Either way, World Record Holder badges won't be given out for just a little while so we can all agree on the rules concerning it.

I have five friends so plz give me the acquaintance badge.

That's something given automatically by the site. Be patient and you will get it overnight or something.

I also have a world record on event 35.  Simple rundown of what happened, cpu's ran toawards me, tried R+B move on no one, failed, tried it in the air, hit all 3 cpus at the same time.  I can also put up a picture if needed.

I tried to hand it out to everyone I could think of but naturally I missed a few people. If you are active here and don't have it, then send me a PM.

Don't worry about that badge yet. I'm not handing it out to anyone right now.

I believe that I should qualify for the WR holder badge. icon_smile

I put this here in advance for when they start being given out.

I was the first person to get 18 on Event 2 easy and my normal and hard ones aren't close to being beaten. I am not sure about the Event 7, but I have found no-one else with sub-20.

I was the first person to get 18 on Event 2 easy

pretty much everyone was the first one on getting a certain score on a certain level. the difference is that there wasn't a huge tie as it was on E14. also not the one who got it first should get a badge, but the one releasing the strat aka samplay in that case.

But I don't support the existance of those bages at all anyways...

I just wanted to state my opinion on strat hoarding people ...

Alright then. icon_razz I did get the record a bit before him, but I'd still get the badge due to normal and hard, anyway. icon_razz

And aren't there badges for Scored Events and Timed Events? 0_o

I only gave it to level 1 because the top scores were all updated. The other levels have outdated record pages that aren't representative of the WRs. When people start updating their scores so I can see accurate total high score rankings then other levels will get the badges as well.

btw, I think we're gonna get rid of the WR holder badge. It's creating much more trouble than it is worth, people keep obsessing over it despite me repeatedly saying I'm not gonna start giving it out yet, and the issue of handling WR ties can't be solved while pleasing everyone.

I think thats a smart idea.

Also, btt stages 2,3,4,5 are all mostly up to date with exception of japanese players.  somebody needs to let next, meshima, keys, and whoever else know that they need to update their scores/

Sorry, I didn't mean to cause any problems. -_-

but I do not see why there aren't Timed Events and Scored Events badges. 0_0

Anyway, I say that WR Ties should count unless they're like Doc 13.40, where 1000+ people had it.

The WR badge isn't totally out of the question. It may be re-added when the record list solidifies further.

People will get king badges for Melee too once Melee is added.

nintendude, regarding the king badges, is there a time requirement on holding the record?

like if john doe #1 takes first place on btt lvl 1, then quickly loses it, does he still gain the badge?
