actually I read on the internet that his is infact NOT top tier and there are actually many character who have more favorable match-ups.

i have never heard FoD as broken. isn't it a neutral stage because its NOT broken? and falco does not do particularly well there either....the platforms screw with his SHL alot, FD is a much better counterpick with him.

FoD never really was on my list for unbalanced. I'm a Peach main against a Marth/Falco player and a Shiek/C.Falcon player when I play melee. Only problem I ever had is being above Falco/Marth/Shiek/C.Falcon as a semi-floaty character like Peach in a stage with platforms makes it feel strained to recover to solid ground. It feels like the other mentioned characters do not receive the same strain to stay on.

FoD is the best stage evers. ^_^

both those characters suck at FoD. And also you can't base yourself like that just because of one match. It will obviously happen that falcon can win on that stage. But we are not talking about skill here.

naw, actually both characters are good on FoD. We're talking about skill of course, because it takes skill to manuever around the stage. You have no idea how well SS can platform cancel on any of the three platforms, and how the low platforms don't affect his playstyle much at all.

The platforms on that stage also benefit falco very much, FoD is zhu's favorite stage for a reason. It all depends on how you work the platforms. By calling it a blanket "suck", you obviously show you don't know how falcons and falcos use the platforms on that stage.

By the way, you have a nice ganon I'd counterpick FoD against ganons as well because low platforms break their chaingrab on sheik. (assuming you ARE the canadian Kage)

I think mouf's fav stage is japes, and DK has no advantage on japes. So you can't just claim that somebody has a favourite stage for a character advantage reason. Also falco may be able to use the platforms well, but they also screw up a lot of his basic game strats, such as the SHL which is a very good tool for falco.

the platforms actually allow you to do amazing things with lasers. Like shoot 4 lasers to hit virtually anything in the air for edgeguarding purposes using the top platform and then a side platform. You're trying to tell me that basic game changes on a neutral stage with different platforms? No, good players work around it, find even MORE uses. Besides, usually only 1 platform is down at a time, and shl is so maneuverable that you're able to do retreats or advances with them, so no, you can still shl.

I think people just 'accept' that FoD hinders certain characters, and then never see them play on it. It's not just ss's falcon that's good on FoD, I've see G-reg's beastly combos using those platforms. Jiano as well.

darkatma, your arguments for fod being a good stage for both characters boil down to they still have an option, but the fact is that on that level they have 1 option where anywhere else they would have 2. falcon players do well there because falcon players are amazing and learn how to do well everywhere, but almost every falcon main considers it their least favorite of the neutrals.

Falcos however, get more options on that stage than before, if they use platforms the way zhu/forward do
