I tried this today and I got it done.
The only thing that I couldn't do was setting the IP address...
So I had to let it auto obtain.
But as a result of all this change, I went from MS 75 to MS 30 something.
So thanks, =)
But I just wanna know what I should do about the IP address thing.
I did the DNS though.

What part of the ip did you not get? The Wii's ip the subnet, or the default ip?

Like, I wasn't too sure what I should do for the IP part for the Wii at all.
Whatever I put in, wasn't good.

Did you log into the router and setup the forwarded ports, at least? Assuming yes;
The ip you put for that is the ip in the first line.
The subnet you can in the command prompt by typing IPCONFIG/ALL within it.
The default ip is the ip you use to log into the router cp.

If that still didn't answer your question, contact me on aim(s4mu51212)/msn(s4mu51212@hotmail.com)/yahoo(s4mu51212).

I'm having a rather annoying problem! No matter what I do, I can't fix the lag on my Wii! It always, I repeat, always takes 13 seconds to complete the connection test and I have major lag! I got kicked outta a tourney because of this lag... I can't seem to get it working again! Can someone give me some kind of troubleshooting?

How old is the router? How far away is the router? What channel is the router on? Are you using a range extender? How old the computer? How fast is the computer?

port forward and contact me over aim or something.

Well... I got a Linksys wireless router, I'm like 3 feet away from it, it's on channel 6, (Channel one didn't do anything better for me) I've had the router for a while! The thing I don't understand is that 3 days ago... It worked perfectly!

Change it to channel 11.
A lot of people have been having a problem similar to yours where the connection randomly gets a ton worse. Just do some of the simpler steps in the guide, and wait it out. It seems to get better for everyone else.

Nothing I do helps the problem. I changed it to channel 11 and nothing happened. I think I'm probably gonna have to wait it out. Do you think that massive amounts of snow could be a problem?

I'm not sure how it would affect a cable connection. Maybe sattelite, but if you have that even without the snow your connection would suck balls.

Try doing a network reset. Unplug the router, wait a minute, unplug the modem, wait a minute, plug the modem back in, wait aminute, then plug the router back in. Also, are you using a wavebird? Fluxus's connection got tons worse when he was using the wavebird, but then it got back together when he went back to his wired controller.

I have a wired controller... I'll try the network reset but I'm not sure it'll help my problem...

I'm pretty sure a gamecube controller doesn't effect your Wi-Fi

It seems my Wii has been diagnosed with an unknown disease! Nothing (<--------Read this word) seems to help my connection! It all started when it began to snow, and I have about 4 inches of snow outside and the weather prediction says I'm probably gonna get over a foot of snow! Then again it could be Comcast, but that wouldn't explain why all the computers in my house work fine on the internet... If this problem isn't fixed by the end of Christmas break, that's gonna suck! (REALLY BADLY) I can get online in SSBB, but the connection is horrible and people don't like to play with me.....(Sniffle).... I really want this problem fixed and I need some kind of solution that wasn't mentioned in this guide! Yes, Dawei, I restarted my router and modem, and it resulted in loss of internet connectiom for about an hour! When it came back online, nothing changed... The only comforting news is that my bro pretty much never plays Wi-Fi and he has the same connection that I do. The only logical conclusion is that the snow is causing some sort of connection problem, or my router suddenly decided to hate the Wii!

This is the same issue I've had with 2 people, just wait it out. Things should get better.
