=Where did your in-game Brawl name come from? I see all these players with all these different names and I want to know how did you come up with you Brawl name? When I say Brawl name I mean the name you use when you play the game.

Mine came from 1: I like the name Axel because I'm a Megaman and Kingdom Hearts fan.
                        2: because I like to excel in games. My definition of Excel is to flourish or be very skilled in what you do.

So I put them together and came up with Axcel. I like it because I'v seen no one else with the name. I feel like It's truly My name. Then I picked up the last part from the fact that my usual fighting style is in peoples faces(aka Close-Combat fighting) and I play Brawl. So my full name is Axcel The Brawler.

from JTV (which is short for justin TV. its a site where people live stream diffrent things, the things i watch are ofcourse gaming live streams ), thats where i used this name first.

Mine used to be Golden Ike because I mained the golden Ike costume but I switch to Azure Flame because Ike is now my secondary so the first name wouldn't make sense. I picked Azure Flame out of my fanboyism of Azure Flame Kite from the .DotHack//G.U. series.

I got my name from watching the anime Zoids when I was little.

My AIB tag comes from when I was just randomly thinking and this thing popped into my head : "Sonic Smash Bros", what it would be like if SSBB was based around Sega characters. So I just named myself SonicSmash. My ingame tag, CS, is CheeseSteak and comes from the "Steak" meme *Kinda* on the Sonic boards

My new name comes from someone in bluesteak, who said "It'd be funny if someone entered a tourney as MK with the name "Tornado Watch." that's what gave me the idea

I love explaining where my name came from...

Well, Captain Nikolai is an original character of mine, based off the series, Fullmetal Alchemist. I created him nearly four years ago, while I was still in high school. Originally, he was supposed to be a counteract to Mario (before I saw FMA, he was just known as Nikolai) as the universal man. I used this name in any game I would play, and then associate it to him. He had many jobs, like underground race car driver (Need for Speed Underground), punk skate boarder (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4), dual sword wielding paladin (Final Fantasy Tactics Advance), and even American Idol (American Idol)! But after I watched FMA, I revamped his character based on that, and to a lesser extent, more like a fictional version of myself.

So the tr;dr version, Nikolai's father was an alchemist involved with the Ishbal Massacre, who pushed Nikolai to become an alchemist himself. Nikolai was happy to learn alchemy, but did not want to become a State Alchemist like his father wanted. Time skip to when Nikolai is 16, and the war is happening. After running away from home, Nikolai returns to see his father dying on the battlefield. Skip the sentimental crap, Nikolai wears his father's chevrons as a memento (he was a Captain in the State), so friends and foes alike commonly misconstrue him as a Captain in the military, thus referring him as Captain Nikolai. He didn't develop his black lightning alchemy until later, but that's another part of the story.

I had used a couple names before but I wanted something original and that fit me. So one day i was listening to the song Fix You by Coldplay, and a verse in that song is "lights will guide you home and ignite your bones." So I thought "IGNITE!!!! That's a cool name!" But the whole word wouldn't fit into my brawl tag so I shortened it to "Ignyt".
