No NHL games on ESPN
I find it strange that hockey is the only sport that ESPN doesn't air live. I'm not a big hockey fan, but I think it's weird.

hockey doesn't have the fanbase
it also plays during the same time as basketball does which has a much bigger fanbase

ESPN had the choice of extending their contract with the NHL either this year or last (can't remember which) and opted out. That's why.

I know Comcast Sports Net does, but i think they only air the local teams.
