Use metaknight. In all serioueness just drop diddy if you losing to a noobie pit like that.
IF Anything power shield or shield hes arrows. get close and if he plays like i figure he'll try to f-smash. If your close. glide toss and set-up your dash-attack>uair or f-throw combo's. when hes recovering low spam peanuts/even high spam peanuts or go for a spike. Just be creative. ,.<.<
and dont get mad at me being rude, i just hate when more ppl jump on the bandwagon on diddy.

Diddy cant out-camp pit. the mu is 50:50. But since he/she is playing a noobie pit. its easily 65:35 imo.

Seems like he needs more general scrub-get-better advice rather than higher level matchup advice.

Shield vs noobie anyone is like 95:5, srsly.

Pit has noticeable endlag on almost all of his moves, and Diddy's dash grab/glide toss after shielding any smash is definitely fast enough to get him. Play him up close. Spam some dash attacks and Dtilts(correct me if I'm wrong, Diddy mains), and just space him like there's no tomorrow.

And also Pit can't handle glidetossing unless he does Angel's Ring, which I THINK is outranged by Diddy's Dsmash(once again, correct me), and as long as you SDI down and away from the Ring, you'll be at the closest possible distance to hit him with one.

One more thing, Diddy can crouch under the arrows, and as long as you keep moving with your crawl, he shouldn't be able to hit you. But don't get too close with the crawl or you'll eat a smash to the face.

Yeah, but they're harder to hit with when you're crawling around, y'know?

all these peoples responses are funny.

- if you haven't practiced/mastered ps'ing, the best option for you is to mix jumping and crouching change your approach to something less predictable or just side step/hold shield.

- fsmash spam isn't a noob tactic one bit, for 1 it comes out fast, 2 it has good kill power and 3 it pushes most characters back far enough they cant punish it with a shield grab..

I always powershield both hits.. but if u cant just block then dtilt after that has enough range to hit.. or block 1st then throw a banana.. I could help u more if i knew what lvl the pit your fighting against but i dont lmk if you need any other advice on combos or matchups.

how about when you're playing a good pit who camps on the ledge shooting arrows and punishes you everytime you approach?

Ya, Pit can be as annoying as hell to fight if he spams arrows, especially against AIs if they are smart enough, they can get away from you after u get close enough when they spam you with arrows, anyone remember how annoying they are to hit if you git a starman? They will do everything possible to avoid you then.
But in this situation I'd recommend Fox, he's much faster than Pit, and you can reflect the arrows back at him, not to mention that Fox, is more powerful in CQB.

In playing both Diddy and Pit, i know how both sides work.

You also have to remember in this match up Pit has 2 reflectors to reflect bananas (angel ring, if they use it, and mirror shield, which can block a lot of attacks) so you'll have to play it smart mixing peanuts and naners of course. Once you're able to get in close Pit does run into a bit of trouble so long as you keep him on the ground. so if you can dodge, duck, jump through the arrows with a banana in hand, you'll be off pretty good.

as for a stage pick...smashville would probably be the best neutral stage against pit because of it's slightly smaller than FD size and using the platform to shield arrows and move in on pit seems pretty useful.

lols, just shield his fsmash and throw a banana or shieldgrab after the first hit, its really not that difficult, besides, if the pit ONLY uses fsmash, then you must be really bad to not rape him
