First when running a browser that I didn't even know, then sometimes with Firefox, and now that my Firefox is somehow not working, I'm using Chrome and still getting it.

I can't post shoutouts or edit my profile (or click on any of the side dropdown tabs on the main toolbar at the top of AiB).


Refreshing doesn't work.  I tried Shift+F5 and Ctrl + 5 (seeing somewhere that Neal once said to try one of those combinations, but I forget which one, and Shift + Ctrl + F5 doesn't do it).  If I try Alt+F5 I get some weird thing where my screen blacks out and then asks me to "keep new settings?", so I haven't tried that one (I have tried clicking the stuff from behind the menu that asks me to keep the new settings, but it doesn't work - not sure if it matters that I didn't say yes, but I don't know what settings I changed to begin with).

I try closing/opening up my browser, and that doesn't work.  Sometimes restarting my computer works and sometimes it doesn't.

If there's a quick fix, it'd make me super happy.  I can't stand this, and I've had this problem for months.

Ok, this is the first time I've had it happen like this. AiB was working fine (I had changed my profile picture like 20 minutes ago), and then I went to write a blog. I clicked on the "my blogs" dropdown, AiB crashed, and when I re-opened it, I started having this problem.

Well I would like to post something helpful here, but I'm afraid mine isn't. I've never experienced this problem with Safari or Opera so perhaps you could temporarily switch browsers until this is resolved?

I honestly don't know what this could be, Bob. The menus are triggered by Javascript, so if they aren't dropping down then something is stopping Javascript from triggering. Maybe it was disabled on your browsers?

I've heard of some problems with Java in Windows 7 because of a bug fix they made; ironically for a few people it made more bugs.

Are you running Windows 7?

Windows 7 runs AiB even better now than my XP did. I feel like it's a browser setting that's failing to trigger Java, imo.

Not running Windows 7 (my crappy 512MB of RAM couldn't even boot that OS).

I'm sure I don't have it disabled, but maybe something is causing it to glitch up. It's so strange... it'll work fine some days and not others, and just the other day I had it crap out on me as I was surfing AiB. I don't think it's the ADs, or other people would have the problem too.
