Elfen Lied -
These human girls had a birth defect at birth that made them grow horns on their head (the placement makes it look like cat ears too cute!) but also they have vectors. Vectors are an extra set of invisible arms with super strength (swinging an arm can sever parts of people's bodies). These mutants are called diclonius. The main character named Lucy escapes from the facility where people test on the diclonius and keep them as prisoners (some tests just shoot at the diclonius, just to see their limit on blocking bullets/cannons with their vectors - cruuuuel). As Lucy escapes she is shot in the head by a high powered rifle, but she survives. This blow to the head makes her gain a split personality called Nyu (she can only say Nyu for a while real cute innocent like) while 'Lucy' is a cold blooded killer. The diclonius only use their vectors against humans, so it is evident that they are there to take over the world. This causes hospitals to euthanize any baby who is born with horns. Guess I should mention Nyu gets taken in and given a place to stay and you see her live normally and innocently, but at times people try to hunt her down sometimes using other diclonius(they can telepathically sense where the other is) so you very much still see Lucy. The story is very deep and very sad =( If I explained anymore of it it would spoil it all.

Black Cat! Follows the story of a ruthless assassin named Train Heartnet, aka Black Cat, Aka no XIII. He meets a girl in a yukata named Saya and she teaches him the value of life and he should only shoot people if he wants to. He is part of the secret organization named Chronos, they really are the controllers of the world - they kill threats to their idea of peace. He decides to quit the organization at the same time his "partner" Creed Diskenth does. Creed Diskenth makes his own group, "The Apostles of the Stars", which he says will then take over the world and chronos' time is up. Sven is a bounty hunter who keeps running into Black Cat, and instead of killing people as black cat used to do, he decides to follow Sven in his bounty hunter adventures (sweeper is the term in Black Cat for bounty hunter). They are also joined with a cute girl named Eve (I'll let you see what she can do ^^). So basically Chronos is after Black Cat and Creed, Black Cat doesn't care about chronos and just wants to fight Creed, and Creed and his group is against Chronos and the world's fake peace. Creed idealizes Black Cat and greatly wants him to join his group. "Hahahaha!! So you finally decided to join me right, Train?" "You were the only person in this world who deserved my respect"
Oh - Elfen Lied has extreme gorey violence for an anime and also nudity, so only adults should watch. Black Cat is kid friendly, but still the greatest thing ever.
