You're right, they're probably not at the level they once were, but the two are still very, very good receivers and compliment each other quite well. Despite being almost 37, Owens still beats defensive backs 2/3 of his age and Chad isn't nearly that old yet. Both take very good care of themselves, I wouldn't be surprised to see if both play until they're 40.
As for Palmer, he actually got better after his leg injury, but the rest of the team didn't do **** for him. After his elbow injury, his pass-first offense got turned into a run-first offense because the OLine was completely new, 2005's receiving corps was essentially gone by the end of the year other than Chad, both the top two TEs got injured, and his thumb was gimpy. Throw in Bratwurst's easily predictable playcalling and you had one hell of a pathetic offense.
All of those factors heavily impact a QB's numbers. This year, with all the new receivers and the hopefully improved OLine (Brat's opening up the playbook more too), I'd expect Palmer to be north of the 3500 yard mark.
