*yawn* No matter what discussion forum on the internet or in person I encounter, you can bet top dollar someone is standing on a soap box with: "But this doesn't end terrorism!" To anyone that feels like such a statement is needed, my response will be and has always been: "No ****." No one thinks that terrorism is ended because OBL is detah; this isn't a video game where one kills the last boss and the game ends or some sort of fantasy tale/movie in which the baddies evaporate because mother goose's link is gone. Honestly people, give it a rest. I'm not sure if those that are "informing" the rest of us feel as if they need to assert their intelligence, are naive, sickened by death, or some combination of those and other reasons, but it is rather annoying. On the matter of "Osama isn't really a big time terrorist" his resume, and standing in the terrorist community, disagree with you. The media is right to celebrate; their existence is predicated on the principles that Bin Laden wants to undermine. They are also reporting the story as fairly as possible e.g. they are reporting and raising questions about Bin Laden being unarmed and his 'resistance'.
