Meta Knight's versatility is something that I can't capitalize on with other characters as easily. His A attacks and tilts are great ways to get opponents in the air and keep them there, and all of his B moves make great recoveries. His Dimensional Cape is a great tool for tricking your opponent - with enough inconsistency over whether you use it defensively or offensively, you can keep your opponent guessing over what you're trying to do, leaving you with several chances. He's also a tricky KO when proper momentum canceling and DI are used.

Ganondorf is nothing short of a brute. Sure he's slow and his recoveries aren't impressive, but every player and every strategy has a hole somewhere. Some are harder to find than others, but I'm not lying when I say that when I find that hole and exploit it, I am almost assured to have a somewhat effortless KO. I will admit though: whenever I play as Ganondorf, I feel every single reason why he's on the bottom of the tier list, but at the same time I feel the reasons that he shouldn't be.

I guess you could say I'm good at extremities - Meta Knight with speed and Ganondorf with strength.

Pikachu cause u have Pikachu's quick attack for recovery and tricking players by jumping of side then use quick attack. Then u have Pikachuhead smash thing, get player to above 80% hit him with Head smash thing then there dead when hit at full power. Then thunder i use that when there in air or when there of the side of stage.

Sonic because of his great speed and fair enough gameplay. (Offline that is.) And just 'cause he's Sonic the freaking Hedgehog.
Pit because of his sexy arrows (no homo) and flight.
Lucas because... idk. I just like Lucas.
BOTH Mario Bros. because of their attacks. (Especially Mario's FAir (epic spike ftw) and Luigi's Side B.)

Fox because of great Upsmash, Great offense, Good defense, and speed

I guess my biggest competitive reason to choose Pit is his ability to fly pretty much anywhere and come back to the stage. This kid is nigh impossible to gimp unless you hit him out of his Wings of Icarus...

I use Ness for his air game and his good throws.

I like psychologically confuse people with Pikachu, too.  It's another way of having fun.

cant find a main, i mained pika for a while but because of my poor di i cant stand the light weight, so i just made him a sub, now im looking for a viable but fun character.

Falco, with zero competitive reason, I just used to play him and fox in melee(so I just carried over). I miss the shinespikes in melee for the win, I can't even land them anymore. I must say the brawl shine is useful nonetheless.

I have had so many good matches with Marth and his moveset can be swift at times and useful which makes him one of my best characters in any Brawl match.

"competitive reason" doesn't include because their colorful, cute designs allured me when I first saw the game, huh? When I was a beginner in 64, Kirby's 5 jumps gave me leeway in training... now I like him for his close and floaty combat style. I think the lightweight-but-comboish fighting styles might be why I also play Squirtle, Pikachu, and Shiek.

But really, I like his zoning options. He has a lot of different moves that he can utilize depending on the opponents positioning which allows me to control the screen.

I choose Metaknight so that I can play competitively.

I played ness in the original game and it was awesome. the fire pillar was my original reason. Started playing earthbound and got hooked. In melee couldn't do much (was against wave dashing, so i just spammed with G&W). When brawl came I just started gravitating toward the familiar moveset that didn't suck as bad, like a restrictor plate being lifted. In brawl, its his throws- backthrow more than any. He's a real powerhouse in doubles and has moves for just about any situation.

Tried lucas out, and seen some good stuff, but its beyond me for now.

Falco, lazerz and bdacus

My main is DK. Easy to use, and efffective. Can shut down those who aren't pro's easily and is also a great spiker. His recovery may be bad, but it's made up for.
