Hey AiB family, it's UltimaTL. I've been gone from brawl for quite a while due to my wii being broken but now that I am back I am once again competing and also looking at speedrunning subspace emissary.

I have actually done a run on SSE already a long time ago with an end time of 2:22, although it could have used optimization so I am redoing it now. I would have finished this long ago but my vcr screwed up as well as my capturing device so I am now using an unfortunately lower quality capture. I aim for the time of this run to be sub 2:20 or even sub 2:15 if my route is optimized, especially the great maze.

My question is, would you guys like to see a run on SSE and have me try for a WR as well (although there are no clear times on a WR anywhere)? I shall begin recording segments and posting on youtube

There is a speedrun of Subspace Emissary on Youtube made by Hondaman1989 from 2 years ago.  He achived a time of 2:15 in Normal Mode.

I suggest you look at that run to see techniques that the speedrunner made, which you could use to improve your own time, or try to better his/her time!

Thanks guys! I actually have accomplished a lot and am up to The Wilds, with a time of 50 minutes on the in game clock... I'll be sure to upload those on to youtube and post them there, as far as I know I'm ahead if not up to par with hondaman currently and hoping to improve even more

SDA doesn't seem to have a category for SE. Anyone think about asking them if they'll make one?

Back in the day I was doing the run for SDA, that was where my 2:22 run was made although now I probably couldn't submit it to them because the quality is way too poor for their standards...

EDIT: I'm now at "Battleship Halberd Interior" in 1:17.

EDIT2: I am now at "The Subspace Bomb Factory II" in 1:25 and have made an album of all of my segments here

EDIT: oh, and while I'm at it, I am at the Great Maze in 1:41, 8 minutes better than my run long ago, which is AWESOME due to Easy mode's slowest auto scroll in some portions of levels

Just as an update I am in the Great Maze with the time of 2:00, looking to finish the rest of the speedrun in a matter of 15 minutes for the rest of the characters and endgame

So I did better than expected and finished with an incredible time of 2:13 on EASY mode! that's 9 minutes shaved off of my old, old run from long ago!

It's just awesome to be done since it was a great run, I'll have the rest posted on youtube soon and on the album here and thanks for everything guys, I'm quite proud of the final product
