The 'z' in the acronym "ZOMG" stands for "Zork" as in "Zork, my god"; it's an acronym typed as a prayer in an attempt to gain favor from the giant-god of the overworld who may get you out of trouble.

For instance, if your house is on fire and you're trapped inside burning to death you would cross your arms and put your hands on your shoulder and say "Zork, my god, please deliver me from this evil fire that is consuming my pants" then Zork would make it rain and extinguish the fire.
