Okay, this is simple.  I don't want this group to be all about me.  Thus, I mod everyone, and allow all the mods to make their own personal decisions about whether to let someone in.  Up until now, I have been secretly judging everyone who I didn't personally let in, and making the decision about whether or not to kick them out.  Considering the recent row with Aevin, I've decided it's still slightly too Kitlerish.

I STILL want people to be strict in who they let in.  Don't let just any random Ness player who thinks he's good in, do a quick background check, at least check their AiB profile, maybe some forum posts.  You don't have to be strict about the rules for application(IE giving some proof of Ness ability through video, tournament placing, especially intelligent forum posts, or vouching from a well known player) if you actually know the person, but I want you to think about whether you REALLY deserve to be in.  It's not always about whether they can play Ness well, it's can they DISCUSS Ness, and will they know what they're talking about, or will it just be a half-assed opinion from a guy with good intentions who just doesn't know better.  But I still want to give people a chance, so here's the rule.

Every new person without significant proof of their knowledge of Ness play goes through a week long trial period, during which they are immune from being kicked out for anything less than sheer retardedness.  After that period, if 3 or more people want them out, they're out.  That number MAY be increased if we get a significant increase in active members.

Again, I'm expecting everybody to keep a high bar in considering recruitment. Don't just invite people in randomly because we can kick them out. The wall is high, if you can't climb it, gtfo.

In fact, don't invite people period, unless you know they are especially skilled at Ness, or at discussing him.  And don't let people in unless they have some proof of their ability.  I can't count the number of requests that don't say anything more than "I really like Ness and I want to learn to use him better" which is NOT the kind of person this group is for.  There is a reason this group is open for EVERYONE to read, shoutouts, announcements, forum posts.  Those kind of people can still come to this group and read what we have posted, but if we let just anyone in, the good Ness info will get congested by a lot of non-essential, or just plain wrong, info.  Like I said, there's already a place where anyone can share their opinion, there's a LOT of those places, and while I accept that those places are neccessary, since not even the best players can have ALL the information, I think Ness will grow a lot faster if he has that type of place, AND this type of place.

I understand. And I think your new method is a lot more fair, just in case mistakes do happen.

Speaking of non-essential information ...  What the heck happened with you and the Lucas group?  Did it attack you, tackle you, and force you to join before you barely managed an escape?

Oh, I was gonna post something, so I had to join, then I decided not to.  I was gonna say how the group pic seemed to center Ness more than it centers Lucas, but I figured people probably wouldn't see it cuz it's really close.

im gonna point out that i will be strict with these....if i happen to find ppl who are in their "trial" being inactive or being active but not contributing i will automatically recommend them for removal

ppl shouldnt make it past the trial just because they didnt do something stupid during it....they should have to SHOW their competence as well as not show their incompetence

If someone is really tough on you when they battle, knows how to play Ness at an advanced level, and can place in tournaments, can they join? Cuz I might be considering someone...

They have to know how to discuss Ness....

But yeah, if someone is like, crazy inactive, they should probably be removed.
