To actually answer your question, this contest involves drawing/arting/whatever using a computer program like GIMP, MSPaint, or Photoshop.

Why is all of your text italicized? You realize italics are meant for certain things, and usually imply emphasis. Gimp isn't a "programming app", it's image editing software. Photobucket is used for hosting images. I would advise against using it for anything design related. 

Use Gimp, or Photoshop, whichever you prefer.

Alternatively you could use MyPaint. It's just about as easy to learn as mspaint; though much more capable. If you're using a mouse it's not really as useful as it could be, considering that it was designed for use with pen tablets. Take a look at the gallery in the link to see what people have made with it. 

Personally, I prefer using it over Photoshop as a drawing/painting tool. Even though Photoshop is very powerful and feature-rich, it doesn't quite match up to the experience I get when using MyPaint. You'll need Gimp or Photoshop if you want to do more advanced stuff like transforms, add text, crop, resize, color adjustments, and whatnot. 

The newest version (1.0) has a document frame feature that you can use to compose your piece so that it fits a certain size.

About your (first question), I type like that (because I like the font)! I'm trying to set an (official font style) for myself! I also love the golden color! And also, what I was (really trying to say was), how would you (create/make your initial image) before getting into (editing it)? This is where (I'm confused) as one of the rules did say ("The piece you enter must be original work created by you specifically for this LAoTM") <- which had me thinking we had to (draw our image by hand)! I have Gimp but don't really know how to use it! And I've heard little of Photoshop but I don't have that!
