BE ON TIME!
Hey everyone, Juice Gaming is back with another awesome addition to the Concentrate series!

Unlike all of our previous tournaments, registration for Concentrate IV begins at
3:00 P.M. The tournament will start promptly at
4:00 P.M. The event is going to be singles only, and we intend to finish around 9-10 P.M.
Unfortunately, we have to cap singles entrants at 40. Concentrates I and III had roughly 40, but Concentrate II had 57 entrants and ran over twelve hours long. In order to conserve time and venue space for Local Battles' regular paying customers, an entrant cap is necessary. Registration is first come, first serve, meaning that if you want a spot in the bracket, you need to be at the venue with $20 ready as soon as possible. Calling the tournament organizers ahead of time will not secure you a spot in the bracket. Signups begin at 3 P.M., so there are no excuses for being late.
However, this does not mean that if 40 people enter the bracket, you can't come! There is no restriction on how many spectators attend.
Online registration is available at
http://www.clashtournaments.com until 8 PM!
At Juice Gaming, we strongly support experimental rulesets. We banned Meta Knight at three of our events before it was a requirement of the Unity ruleset to do so and saw massive success. To continue our trend of experimenting (and because Doom and Diem are going to Japan), we will be running a slightly modified version of Rain's Sunrise Tournament rules!
The full, unedited ruleset can be found here:
http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=11273460&postcount=141Fort Lee is right next to New York City--in fact, the George Washington Bridge is located in this town. There's a bus stop right across the street, and this is one of the easiest venues to access! There is also plenty of food easily within walking distance.
Local Battles has only been open for a few months, but has already broken out in the fighting game community, making a huge splash in Mortal Kombat, SSF4, and MvC3. Now, by partnering with Juice, they're gonna be bringing you the next level of gaming in Smash!
The place is mostly a LAN center with a few used games, but they're all ready to make our event a huge success! We'll have roughly 50% of the store dedicated to this event, and a professional level stream coming your way!
Air conditioned, tons of seating, and it's run by a group of really fantastic people!
Singles: $10
Venue fee: $10
Spectators must pay the venue fee!

Rules
MODIFIED SUNRISE TOURNAMENT RULES, by juice.Doom and juice.dmbrandon
-All game modifications, including tripping removal and texture hacks, are banned.
-Three stocks, ten minute timer.
-All characters, including Meta Knight, are allowed.
-All sets are best of three matches, with the exception of winners finals, losers finals and grand finals, which will be best of five.
-The tournament will operate with a double elimination bracket.
-All items are set to off and none.
-Changing controls is allowed.
-Pause is turned off.
-Any use of Meta Knight's Infinite Dimensional Cape is banned.
-In the event that a match goes to time, if a player has exceeded 50 ledge grabs, that player automatically loses. If both players or neither player has exceeded 50 ledge grabs, the player with the stock and percent damage lead is declared the winner. If both players are tied in stock and percent, the match will be replayed on the same stage with one stock, a three minute timer, and a ledge grab limit of 18. Meta Knight's ledge grab limit is 35, and 13 during one stock, three minute rematches.
-Scrooging, or flying under the stage repeatedly to stall, is banned. Players may only fly from one ledge underneath the stage to the other one time before returning to the stage. (This does not apply if either player takes damage during the exchange. The Smashville moving platform does not constitute as "returning to the stage".)
Set Format:
-Stage striking and controller ports are determined by rock-paper-scissors. RPS loser strikes one of the starter stages, then the winner strikes one.
-After stage strikes have been completed, the players choose their characters. Double blind picks are allowed.
-After a match is finished, the loser may choose to switch controller ports.
-After a player wins their first game of a set, they are allowed to ban one of the counterpick stages. Starter stages may not be banned.
-The loser of the previous match chooses one of the remaining stages from either the starter or counterpick list.
-The winner of the previous match chooses their character.
-The loser of the previous match chooses their character.
-Repeat the above steps as necessary until a player has won either two or three games.
Although there won't be a doubles event at Concentrate IV, our modified SRT ruleset includes the following rules about doubles for anyone who's interested:
-There is a maximum of one Meta Knight per team.
-When determining controller ports, one team will use ports 1 and 4 while the other team will use ports 2 and 3. One player from each team will play rock-paper-scissors prior to the set's beginning to determine which team gets which ports.
