There is no skill involved when you send someone offstage and a smashball spawns, then he sends you offstage and nothing spawns.

i dont see what the fuss is, 4 stock should be fine i mean that last stock wont make the matches last hours long. by doin 3 stock your prolly savin somewhere around 2-3 minutes at most per round and thats bein generous. of course since there is a timer u could have 100 stock an still be done in 8minutes. if its really that big ofa problem why dont ppl shorten the time instead of the stock?

Cool.

Seems weird to ban the infinite cape and not the infinites though.

Both stalling, one unbalanced.

Infinites are a legitimate form of racking damage. It becomes classified under "stalling" if you continue the infinite past 300%.

My only beef is the Starter/Counter and Counter/Banned list is not complete....but I can see why they can be either or IMO.

Just a kind of random question: What is the reasoning behind team attack being on? It seems like a pretty basic rule that most everyone agrees on, but I'm just curious as to what makes it so standard.

so it's more of a team match than a FFA

with it off, you do not have to worry about your team mate being in the way, with it on, it emphasizes the team effort

it's also more fun with it on, it's probably not the right explanation, but basically the insanely gay stuff is taken away

Team attack on removes the skill-less aspect of not truly needing to coordinate and "look out for" your partner, while at the same time opening up a myriad of techniques, such as:

-Healing Ness/Lucas
-Filling Game & Watch's poop bucket.
-Having a partner feign a missed smash and caping them around.
-Having your partner feign a would-be-whiffed smash and then FLUDD/Water-gunning them into range of the enemy.

It's just more fun to have team-attack on, unless your partner is an Ike/DK/Bowser/Snake/Dedede who just wants to throw out Forward Smashes in the middle of the fray at any given time.

My only question is, if you do call a character after the first fight do you have to use only that character even though they can switch mid-battle?

So it's like you have to call Zelda and you can't use Shiek even though going back and forth is the point to that character.

Same goes for the Pokemon Trainer, If that's the case then the character choosing rule is stupid. IMO

The only person I can somewhat understand is Samus and ZSS but that's because once you switch mid-battle you can't go back without the smashball which we don't use lolz.

Nonono, Zelda-Shiek is one character, just as PT is one character.  Samus-ZSS is debatable, but IMO it's also just one.

I had a lot of fun in a friendly where my teammate and I were Falcons. I threw out a whiffed Falcon Punch, and my opponent tried to punish, but my teammate jumped down and followed up with another Falcon Punch right afterward. That blow won us the match, incidentally.
