NBA Playoff Predictions
What I said up there. EASTERN CONFERENCE (1) Chicago vs. (8) Indiana (2) Miami vs. (7) Philadelphia (3) Boston vs. (6) New York (4) Orlando vs. (5) Atlanta WESTERN CONFERENCE (1) San Antonio vs. (8) Memphis (2) LA Lakers vs. (7) New Orleans (3) Dallas vs. (6) Portland (4) Oklahoma City vs. (5) Denver Predictions: FIRST ROUND EAST Chicago over Indiana in 4 (The Bulls don't have to sweat this one much) Miami over Philadelphia in 5 (I think the Sixers can steal one, but they're not moving on) New York over Boston in 7 (Boston screwed up trading Perkins. NY is not intimidated at all) Orlando over Atlanta in 6 (Atlanta will fare better, but not much better than last year) WEST San Antonio over Memphis in 6 (San Antonio's had trouble with the Grizzlies, so this'll be tougher than it seems) LA Lakers over New Orleans in 4 (New Orleans is WAY too small. Bynum and Gasol will eat them alive) Portland over Dallas in 7 (This series is a coin-flip. I'm picking Portland due to Dallas choking in recent years) Oklahoma City over Denver in 6 (Denver will put up a fight, but the Thunder move on in the end) CONFERENCE SEMIS EAST Chicago over Orlando in 6 (Orlando isn't what they once were. Chicago will struggle at times, but pull it out) Miami over New York in 7 (New York matches up VERY well with Miami, and it'll be a fight, but the better team will win) WEST Oklahoma City over San Antonio in 6 (San Antonio's age has already showed. OKC's younger and will top the Spurs) LA Lakers over Portland in 6 (The Lake Show will stumble somewhat, but move on) CONFERENCE FINALS EAST Chicago over Miami in 7 (This'll be a fight to say the least. Miami could win if Derrick Rose is stopped. If not, it'll be an uphill battle) WEST LA Lakers over Oklahoma City in 7 (OKC gave the Lakers trouble last year. This year, they'll give them more trouble. But LA's size wins in the end) NBA FINALS LA Lakers over Chicago in 6 (Experience + Size = a second three-peat for the Lake Show, a fourth for Phil Jackson, and LA burning in riotous glory for the third year in a row)
