Today I played Peach again. I'm still broken about my beam sword messing up lately. Anyway I was just trying to get a better time with the regular strat but this time trying to land on that little platform at the end. Then in one run I had a good beginning but I've opened the umbrella to fast so that I've missed T4. Then I was standing at the place where peach starts. Standing some seconds. Then I tapped joystick up and down a couple of times so that peach has her hands on the ground but not pressing b. I was looking at her hands on the ground. Don't know what I exactly thought. Pressing b. It appears pink and it sounded like an item. Of course now we know what I've pulled. In such moments it feels like somebodys watching me. I had a very similar situation once in hrc...

I know they say there's 1/300 for all those items, but I've always felt like beam sword was far rarer than the rest. I remember when I was doing a run trying to get all the targets standing on the ground I got a saturn followed by two bombs in a row. I think I wasted all my luck there because last time I played peach hrc it took over 1000 pulls before I got a bomb.

You have to be able to do the wr beginning, but you don't have to be fast enough to get around the flipper. This strat can get low 4.2x maybe even high 4.1x

It's weird. I always try to remind myself that it's based on probability, a simple 1/300 at any given moment, but statistics also seem to play a big role in what shows up, like the game is keeping a tally, haha. And yeah, I've had those moments when you "waste all your luck" ...whether or not this actually affects your chances, it sucks when it happens ><

And oddly enough, ever since I said this: I've pulled about 8 bombs, 8 Saturns, and only 1 beam sword , I've been getting beam sword after beam sword! I'm up to at least 6 or 7 now.

Hehe, thanks ganny While trying to go around the flipper at the end I got this score with the same strategy again. It's easy.

very nice, get 1221 on that luigi Also, if you can get 4.0x you can get 3.97. Being able to consistently complete the strat itself is the hard part. After that you just have to maximize and shave frames until you luck a 3.97 haha
