Help with Common Tournament Upload Issues
I've been getting lots of messages about problems with tournament results, so I'm going to post some tips to help you get your uploads running smoothly. 1. Make sure you upload a .tio file, and nothing else. We can't use images of your bracket or anything else. Also, be sure you do not use the same .tio file for multiple tournaments. You can always recreate a tournament in tio after it happens, so there shouldn't be any issues with using the .tio file format. 2. Make sure the bracket in your .tio file is complete. A lot of people forget to click the winner of the finals, or do not save after inputting results. If you do not complete the bracket, all the results will be skewed. 3. Name the tournament exactly the same as it is named on the site. 4. Do not use silly names for your events. "Singles", "Doubles", and "Crews" suffice for most events, but if you have a themed event, stick to a simple, yet descriptive name for your event. If the event allows only Snake, label the event "Snake Only". 5. Make sure that singles events have the singles bubble selected, and that doubles and crews have the teams bubble selected. 6. Be aware that winners of a tournament with too few entrants will not be given medals. 7. If you re-upload a file for a tournament you've already updated the results for, the old results will be overwritten, so please take care. I will keep this updated as other problems arise.
