SBR Official Final Melee Tier List
This is the final tier list for Super Smash Bros. Melee. Completed October 2008. Approved by M3D. All values are conclusive and finalized.

Seriously, Mario is too low. The tier list IS accurate, except it looks like it was made by Fox/Marth fanbrats.

How does he get beaten by Fox, Falco, DK, Samus, and Ice Climbers?

Seriously, stop talking as if you know the matchups. You might be able to beat everyone in your basement with mario, but the matchups are what they are.

I never said I knew the matchups. I don't even have a basement at my house.

Mario is in a good spot. The tier list isn't made by "Fox/Marth Fanbrats". It's based on ACTUAL tourney placings.

And I might not know about IC's and Dk, but

Samus wipes the floor with Mario. Even though you have a cape her missles are just better and will cause either you to avoid them or deflect them. Basic game she has against Mario is CCIng moves into D-smashes to send him in the air for easy air game. Then knock him away with Nair or missle you while trying to recover.

Fox beats Mario with Shine, Uair, U-Smash, Nair spam. Sure you might be able to Chaingrab him a bit but really it's going to be a quick stock if Mario's in control. Only time Mario can gimp Fox is when that Fox doesn't sweetspot the edge. Then he can just cape that stock off.

Falco work almost the same way as Fox. Except he just pillars and Dair.

I agree, he has absolutely no riht to call me a Mario Fanbrat, which I'm not.

Its a good spot, but, he's still a bit low. You may be right, but it sure looks like it.

Good enough.

I'm not going to act kindly towards someone who just doesn't listen to reason. The matchups have been known for a long time, and if he isn't going to accept it and continue to throw his opinion out for no reason other than that "he really likes mario", then i'll be happy to remove a troll. I have no reason to come and pick fights for no reason.

We understand that you think mario is too low PL47, so stop posting with it over and over. You have been made aware of WHY mario is at where he is on the tier list and unless you have anything else to add, please do not continue to question it. This is your last warning.

That's a fair opinion, as i believe falcon destroys peach, but it's more than just about vs matchups. It's about how many good and bad matchups they each have with the cast, and how those numbers position them in the list.
